The entirety of Space Hulk Deathwing.
MGSV no contest
Pokemon Sword and Shield. I was a fucking retard for expecting anything though.
sometimes i remember the weeks and months of hype leading up to that game, i remember staying up til midnight to play it the second it came out
Wolfenstein TNC being a politically charged attack on Republicans, complete with murdering Reagan and siding with Black Panthers, commies, and demonizing Christians, instead of just being a game about fighting Nazis.
This thread will be filled with lastest best selling popular games isn't it?
Kirby 64. In an era where Mario and Zelda were reinventing vidya, and Castlevania and Mega Man struck out to try something, we got a Kirby that was
1. Still 2D
2. Shorter/Easier/Simpler than what was on the SNES
3. Not even good
The disappointment was so immense that I quit vidya for an entire gen.
I still remember the post claiming to have held off suicide for it. Highly doubtful they would have gone through with it regardless.
Mega Man 64 was bad tho
10 fucking years for an incomplete game with some of the most casual combat (the director wanted to pander to them) of any action RPG I have played
Was referring to battle network and misadventures. MMBN was pretty much the only game I played during the Gamecube era.
There have always been disappointing games and there are always new games coming out that I love. I never had more faith than i have now in the industry
Spore.
It would have been perfect if Will Wright hadn't been betrayed by his dev team and EA

Dawn of war 3, easily
every game ever which had micro transactions, mmorpgs or loot crates.
its pretty good but it was supposed to be the best game ever released, or at the very least show big boss's downfall.
>hype yourself to the moon for a video game
>surprises when it doesn't live up to absurd expectations
you have only yourself to blame
Dead Rising 4
You posted it OP.
>murdering Reagan
what the fuck? I shouldn't even be surprised I guess

No mans sky
I loved crysis and all its dumb gimmicks and graphics so naturally I was hyped for crysis 2. I don’t know what I was expecting but it was a pretty huge let down and also when I realized you should never preorder games.
Mankind Divided, they spent more time putting micro-transactions, pay2win, real money consumable items in single player game and cutting up the game into DLC missions than working on the game. It was only half done and they need to make a new one to finish it.
