does Yea Forums skip the Nemesis fights?

I never understood why these were choices. Why not just have the Nemesis pop up and if the player wants to run they'll go inside, and if the player wants to fight they'll stay and fight? Why use a text prompt?

Who Sissy??

Never played this game. Is there any point at all to fight him? Isn't he unkillable anyway?

If you take him down at the encounter points, you can get some unique items off of him.

Because shit in the game changes based on what you choose and the game can't keep reverting between the choices based on whenever you want to go back and forth. Did you even play the game?

It's been awhile since I played it, but I would fight the Nemesis encounters that gave weapon upgrade parts.

He drops parts for unique weapons

That's nice. Then I'd probably fight him. I wouldn't bother if there was no point, especially if the end result is that I go to where I would have escaped anyway next.

I've always skipped them. The weapons parts aren't a good enough reward since my dumb ass always seems to be low on ammo. I only found out about all the hidden ammo in RE2 during my last playthrough when I prepared for RE2make. Without the hidden ammo in RE2 I always ran out on the second floor of the police station, even knowing a few tricks like the Lickers are blind and if you walk they won't attack you.

He's actually pretty difficult, both because he's a damage sponge and he has a super fast charge attack that is an instakill if it hits. Jill has a contextual evasive move that has to be timed perfectly every time, or you have to run out of the way just right using those slow tank controls, all while slowly whittling him down with whatever you got (the first time, you don't have much and he'll usually completely exhaust your ammo).

>The weapons parts aren't a good enough reward

Are you for real? The handgun that you get from him is fucking 10/10, fires fast as shit and also decapitates regular zombies. The og starting handgun is only good if you grind the gunpowder to get the enhanced/explosive/whatever the fuck gimmick ammo that is only compatible with it.

I'd argue that he is the most well done boss in the entire series, and one that is still bound to kill you couple of times even on your nth playthrough.

Deus Ex managed just fine.

I always went with the enhanced gunpowder.

Deus Ex doesn't run on a 33mhz PS1 you dumb negro.

>time perfectly

Nah it's very loose and pretty forgiving. Fighting Nemesis isn't recommended though and should only be attempted for fun.

May I remind you RE1 already did what I'm talking about when Barry leaves to go get rope?

>Are you for real? The handgun that you get from him is fucking 10/10
Honestly its a useless fun considering acid rounds and flame rounds are the strongest.

So just hope for Grenade launcher and be on your way, you don't even need to kill zombies in the game just swooss past and beat the game in 50 minutes.

>Enter police station or fight.
>To speed run it, its faster to choose fight, turn around, and enter police station.

Yeah but that is a singular event. RE3 has a bunch of different branching shit like that.
Also on top of that, you have a cozy ~30 second time frame in the RE1 event to decide whether you want to wait for Barry or not. In RE3 there are also split-second decisions that wouldn't be implemented properly otherwise.

i don't think you understand what you're talking about user

No, you do not understand. You want seamless transitions and choices that aren't glaringly obvious, and that is obviously a more interesting solution, but in RE3 it simply wouldn't work because of how fast-paced the game is. There are also far more of these choices in RE3 than in RE1. Other than waiting for Barry and being absolutely inept at getting the serum in time, there isn't a whole lot that you can affect with your choices.

In RE3 these choices are clear cut, there is a few of them and they add to the replay value. You might not like it but it is what it is.

Resident Evil 3 featured way more choices than previous Resi games, so having this at the beginning helped establish them as a mechanic that would persist throughout the rest of the run. It also meant that the player was being forced into some degree of confrontation with Nemesis and had to make a conscious choice, which wouldn't have happened/been as appreciated if things were allowed to play out naturally and a spooked player just immediately ran inside without paying him any mind. This also helps establish Nemesis as a little shit you'll have to get used to dealing with, even if you just plan to run away (and that it was even moreso than the previous title's Mr. X).

Better question is... what is the definitive way of playing RE3 nowadays? I am well aware of the content differences between the versions so no need to get into that. From a visual point of view above all

>Gamecube emulated with that new HD background patch
>PS1 on CRT
>Sourcenext?

Watching a playthrough on Youtube. It aged terribly along with all the other shitty tank control survival horror games. Not worth bothering with them, but giving them a watch is okay.

>it's okay to watch but not okay to play

I was about to, but my favorite streamer said my name after I donated so I won't anymore.
