That's obviously a review bomb but the reception of AC has been kind of hilarious.

Platinum's B-est of B teams puts out a shallow, unbalanced, unpolished action game slapped together on Automata's base with the most generic and (for once) charmless animu story ever and reviewers eat that shit up after being hyper-critical and dismissive of games with far better combat and far more polish.

Story, music, graphics = good, but the controls are a bit of a mess which fucks with combat and a lot of things don't make sense the way they're implemented. Customization, for example.

Nintendo fans do the same.

It's "okay", not game of the year, but if you buy it discounted, you'll probably enjoy it for what it is.
