It’s for the best. I got involved in a ten person gun fight that was like a king of the hill situation. This one guy managed to hold off at least ten people before he got ganked by me and two others. This was on top of a literal hill with shrubs and some trees as cover. The whole time he held on he was only getting headshots with a repeater.
It might mean we’re getting not so accurate guns or headshots will just eat your bars but not your cores.

Anyone else notice they changed the requirement fro clean kills again last week. Wolves now require poison arrows, and birds like ducks, ravens and pheasants now require small game arrows.

I’m level 12 man. I play with friends to hunt bears and have a good time without worrying about pelt quality. This shootout just grabbed my attention with how many dead bodies are in it and I joined for some quick fun. The multi lobbies take too long.
Seriously, the multiplayer matches are fucking terrible. You wait 5-10 minutes then get stabbed in the first five seconds so you gotta wait 15 min or even longer if the final team are actually in cohorts and would just dick around until they accidentally shoot each other.

Don't do the pvp modes with the little tombstones if you want to respawn. The best pvp modes are the horse races, and the bag modes. Unfortunately you can't choose the latter, you just have to hope it's next up.

best pvp is 'Head to the Hills'. 4vs4, one team of hunters trying to hinder the other team to reach a safehouse. infinite respawns. only found in the small showdown series.

might need to try it out. Usually only play the medium and large showdowns. The one where you steal bags and bring them back, and the one where you take an explosive bag to the other side are my favorite.

Spoils of war. Yes, that one is good although I like 'Plunder' even better. When the enemy teams rush forward to the central loot just set up an ambush and take it from them on their way back to base.

what are the prerequisites? i have like 200 gold bars just from rockstar giving them out the first few weeks of online release and i abused the challenge glitch to farm for everything else i wanted. i'm around level 60 and i havent played since the first month of online, wondering if this update will even be worth my time to return.

pvp has died down a lot recently but might ramp up again with the update. However there is an option to go defensive (you can't lock on to other players and neither can they, they do less damage to you if they manage to hit you, and you can still freely hunt, do gang hideouts, etc). If you want to do Free Roam missions, then it takes you out of defensive, but it's still not as common to run into people who just want to grief.

The coming update is going to make it so that you take even less damage while in defensive mode.
