I really liked Outlast 2. It was scary, and that is what I need to consider something a good horror game.
Little nightmares
bait
Real talk why does everything have s o y in it now? My parents gave me one of those chocolates kids solicit outside grocery stores and looking at the ingredients it always say "may contain s o y"? Even in the long list of stuff they make it from there is some form of s o y ingredient. Is the meme of everyone becoming sissies from s o y being put in our food true?
No I enjoyed it as a horror game
Because it's relatively cheap and makes for a good binding agent
There is no evidence that it does anything to your body chemistry though. Vegetable hormones are not people hormones
lol so true
I visit my family in America once a year or so and it always becomes a thing eith them about me wanting real milk. They go on about drinking another animal milk is unnatural and I should drink onions or almond milk instead. I hate the taste of onions and almond milk and it ruins my cereal only available in America. I get to eat one fucking box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch every one to two years and I won't fucking fuck up the taste with that ass shit milk god damn it!
kek I forgot about the filter since everyone uses the misspelling for the insult and got caught while using the real use of the word. Looks funny reading that now.
If you were that much of a acceptance chasing shmuck that you actually listen to these, the only game you would actually be allowed to play would be the PS1 version of Pong.
Since when Undertale, Deltarune, Castlevania, doom 3 and world's.com are horror?
If none of these are scary then what is a good horror game?
META 10000
I mean given the chart says Castlevania is "mocking horror tropes" I think we can say it's bullshit
it pretty much exists to get (you) to respond but the issue is that there are retards out there who see it and then parrot it to fit in, unwittingly falling into the trap of trying to hard to fit in and thus outing themselves as redditors. anyone who seriously rallies for "jumpscares good atmosphere bad" needs to shut the fuck up
man these images are getting more and more deranged
I'm gonna ignore your bad bait pic and give you a real answer.
SH1&2, Darkwood, Dead Space, RE4, RE2R, RE1HD are all fantastic horror games.
Outlast 1 was pretty fucking scary, especially the DLC, but I think jump scares are actually essential to good horror. Horror needs the element of surprise.
I know it's just bait but I hope the person that created that image made like a tree and killed themselves for putting SH2 on that.
but Doom wasn't scary at all?
lol so true
while i agree, i think having the foundation of the horror being entirely on "surprise" weakens the experience. Just like how relying on atmosphere can do the same
>Undertale
>Castlevania
>Doom
>Lisa
You forgot to include Super Mario 64 and Orcarina of Time to really complete this list of "Horror" games
Is this a randomly generated list of games or something not i
lol so true.
STALKER, actually, on harder difficulties. But your gay image plays that for a troll so blow a goat you dumb nigger.
This is the only game that has actually terrified me and is probably the one that was on my backlog the longest until I found out about the ending.
Darkwood is so god damn good, probably gonna replay it this October.
>no one mentioned obscure yet
Me too. I was going to replay Bloodborne, but you just changed my mind.
The atmosphere is top tier.
S o y can grow in almost any climate and doesn't require as much water, so it's become a popular cheap food filler.
What's obscure?
Redpill is that fictional media can’t be scary but that would make Yea Forums niggers get their panties bunches up
Moot does it again.
Been binging PS2 games so I'm grabbing this right now. Thanks user!
If the game feels like you have no idea what to do, then you know fear.
the game series is called obscure. they have at least two games, and it feels like classic RE in a school setting
Games in black and white are neato
>Vegetable hormones are not people hormones
vegetables don't have hormones, they don't have an endocrine system. They can, however, contain chemicals which act as hormones in humans. This is what coy has: it contains a chemical which is recognized by the human body as estrogen. There is no debate over whether it contains phytoestrogens: it does, this has been firmly established. There is still some debate over what exactly phytoestrogens do to the human body but the evidence generally points to "acts pretty much like estrogen".
sounds pretty obscure
>RE3
>Slow and uneventful
It literally has something going on at every part and is probably the quickest of the OG 3 to beat. It's the only one of the first 3 that made me afraid to enter the next area every time back when I originally played it. What kind of cuck made that chart?
yup -- kind of
I remember seeing an ad or quick peak at this game when it was coming out. Always wanted to play it but never did.
lol so true
I went on a cross country road trip from Washington state to Indiana and when i got to Iowa i saw rows and rows of nothing but corn and basedbeans. it went corn, onions, corn, onions, corn, onions, cows, onions, corn, onions etc.
Brain damage.
lol so true
Weirdly enough Final Exam is part of the serie.
like i said, it feels like RE in a school setting. it has all the nice camera angles a la film noir/french new wave films just like the RE games. the setting has to be pretty good in order to show off those camera angles, and the big, fancy school was really nice
hahaha YES! BASED!
how will SO*lets ever recover from this one? XD
the picture is obviously bait, but why the fuck is A24 there? don't they do movies?
>but the evidence generally points to "acts pretty much like estrogen".
But that's wrong
Cool, I'll have to give it a try when I can.
fun fact:
>game can be played coop
>you can choose different characters and change them anytime from your hub/safe room
>all your characters can die and they stay dead, full game over when all characters die
>game is one of the first iirc that uses light to fight the monsters like alan wake does
holy fr*ckin based Louis
go buy the more-expensive whole foods. the cheap stuff can be packed with god knows what. awhile ago, i switched to real bread and i actually think i feel better with all those real whole grains. LEARN TO LOOK AT THE INGREDIENTS IN THE BACK, RETARDS
note about bread: one thing they trick you with is the word "enriched." you've seen it. "enriched bread." "enriched" sounds nice, right, but it actually means that all the good stuff -- the good nutrients -- were taken out of it for some reason.
Outlast 1 completely loses all scare factor once you discover you can outrun every chaser in the game, especially since there's no stamina. That's why I liked 2 better, you couldnt just bruteforce everything
Diablo 1 when you're 11.
>RE4
>Playstation 2
It came out for the Gamecube first, you uncultured swine.
>RE2R
REimagining 2 wasn't scary at all though. Og 2, REmake or 7 we're exponentially more frightening
oh, yeah , i completely forgot it had co-op because i never really did it
Imagine actually spending time making that image
MAD
so 90% of worthwhile horror games are soi apparently
i recommend you to get a life
The original RE2 wasn't scary at all compared to the remaster. You can just shoot everything in the original and never run out of ammunition.
The zombies in the remastered are actually scary thanks to the visuals, sound design, and game mechanics that make them a legitimate threat.
Then there's Mr. X which was done much better in the remake and adds a lot of tension to everything.
Dead Space got a few scares out of me and Left 4 dead was scary for like the first level.
>Lisa
>Horror game
how is it a horror game?
Clock Tower deserves a good remake.
Why do you sound like a marketer? I'm not saying you are, but add some depth to that generic post.
Huh? What do you want me to say? I'm not going to get into the specifics of how the new zombies are actually intimidating.
If you played both games (which I assume by your post), you should know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to fighting regular zombies and Mr. X adding tension.
I'm not here to write you a convincing essay, I just think you're completely wrong when you say RE2 original was scary.
nothing wrong with onion fields user
>Yea Forums is trying to trick newfags into thinking that Night Trap 2014 was peak horror
We just got what seems to be an in engine image of sucubus, first we have gotten since the concept gameplay
In that case, it was probably basedbean oil, which is inexpensive and useful in cooking processes. They say 'may contain onions' as an allergy warning.
I know the game is shit, but where would Dead by Daylight fit in this?
Personally, I like horrors that are dark athmospheric, bone chilling, slow burners that have good character development
lol so true
Undying, Amnesia...original Alone in the Dark
The more you look at it, the more retarded it gets.
>The more you look at it, the more retarded it gets.
No joke, it's mostly due to american agriculture lobby realizing that onions is INCREDIBLY cheap to produce. Pretty much every fucked up american food culture trend (fear of sugar, fear of salt, fear of butter etc...) has some concrete company or association lobby behind it, trying to promote certain produce that is either in surplus, or just allows greater profitability.
American food culture is one of the most fucked up things in the world, but at the same time it is so big and so influential that it dictates trends all over the world. Onions is promoted over other produces (milk in particular) becomes somewhere, a big corporation is making a SHITTON of money out of it. It's that simple.
what you've never drank onions milk before user?
lol so true
do you play as a succ or is it just titled like that?
if it's the former, can you look down and see your own tits?

Love those added sugars eh fattie?
REAL MEN EAT RAW OATS! WITH JUST WATER IF NEEDED!
>it's the jews that make us fear sugar!
No hun, it's the rest of the world still laughing at you whenever you see pictures of 'the average american'. Ya fat fucks.
welcome to the game
You play as a succ
It's a sequel to Agony only instead of being a stealth game it's an action game, and yes you should be able to look down and see your tits, I'm pretty sure you could do that in Agony
Here's the early concept footage from a while back, hopefuly the final game will be a bit faster paced, I think this is mostly just using the basic sucbus mode from agony in this footage
youtu.be
That trailer is fully fucking cg, not a hint of actual gameplay
I think the 30 seconds or so of combat is a last of us situation where it's technically in game but touched up and manipulated
Although even if you are right it's just concept footage and marked as such so we will have to wait and see
The game has some issues where if you don't do things in an exact way you can't complete certain missions and you'll have to play them over again. If you find yourself stuck don't feel bad resorting to a guide. But obviously try it yourself first.
>Undertale
>Lisa
>Catlevania
>Original Doom
>Half-life
>Left4dead
>Stalker
Who the fuck made that list?
So there are no good horror games?
Good games are all normie basedboy trash user, don't you follow the contrarian hivemind?
AVP 1 n 2
I agree on A24 trio. Other than that, - cunny and blacked
>onions milk
Jesus, what the unholy fuck? Is this a real thing in America?
As far as I heard it does not, milk products on the other hand are a whole nother story.
raw oats
Might as well eat a slice of bread with your milk at that point.
>lazily pasting GAMES over movies
Holy fuck nuke Yea Forums it's by far the worst board
No, it's a word filter.
bread turns to sugars as well. super unhealthy, even the 'healthy' kind.
>action horror games are onions shit
>survival horror games are onions shit
>adventure horror games are onions shit
>them park horror games are onions shit
>walking horror games are onions shit
You have to like at least something user.
op doesn't believe this. It's just a bait picture to coax as many outraged (you)'s as possible.
I honestly don't get this. You'd expect most people would have the common logic to see it's bait and that if they stopped replying, the baitfags would get bored and leave, but day after day, you see the same threads getting 500 new honest replies each every time.
>Is the meme true?
If you think yes, you need more brain cells.
A retard
>ONIONS ONIONS ONIONS
Saying everything is dumb doesn't make you smart.
That said, I appreciate the effort you put into this. The ifunny watermark is a nice touch.
Then eat oats with dried fruits, instead of just oats, who in the world eats "just oats" what kind of amazing life would you have to be living to be able to put up with "just oats" in the morning.
you can but if it's anything like the previous game you have to jump, you can't see them if you just look down while walking
Tv memes are so fun!
Silent Hill 1 was better than 2 anyway
*saves horror genre*
I hate sports and I like other foods. it's healthy as fuck and boosts ya power.
S o y is a feminizing biohazard that trannies forcibly injects in food in an effort to feminize their population.
Except sneed, that shit is garbage
One look at japans list of war crimes will show you it's a load of bullshit
>The zombies in the remastered are actually scary thanks to the visuals, sound design, and game mechanics that make them a legitimate threat.
LOL
lol so true
there are none.
only females enjoy horror games or movies, for normal people they're boring.
horror movies are only good when you're sitting in a cinema with a girl so you can hold her when she's scared.
>Haha it's making fun of tropes haha ok this is based
>Castlevania 1
Huh?
