I haven trained in 6 months so my arms aren't as big anymore, but with my arms aas they are now I would struggle getting over 15 reps with that weight.

Getting high reps is harder than you think even with not much weight.

I've been going to the gym 3 months and can easily do 15 reps of double what she's doing. As I said in an earlier post, I'm weak as fuck compared to people who actually life and have been for any significant amount of time.

I think you might have some legitimate health problems if your arms are that size and you've been training for 6 months and can't even curl 15kg.

You think that bar weighs mar than 5kg by itself? I don't have much experience with short-bars like that. Only Olympic bars for squats/bench and static total-weighted bars for stuff like curls and rows. Considering how small it is compared to an Olympic bar, I find it hard to believe it weights much.

Doing 5 sets 15 at this weight is a good regime for me.

If I wanted to lift heavier I could double that and do 10 reps at 4 sets...or triple that weight and I'd only get about 8 reps

You'd be better off doing 3 sets of 12 solid, slow reps at a heavier weight than doing 5 sets of 15 on a lower weight. If you want to see more progress.

Sure, it would hurt, even though it's low weight. But it's largely pointless and definitely not hard compared a lot of other exercises where you're prescribed similar reps/sets.

Depends. Do you mean you literally cannot straighten them or do you mean that it just REALLY hurts?

Regardless, your first week or two will leave you in a ton of pain (good pain, imo), but after that you'll be fine. You'll still get that kind of soreness a lot but rarely near the level of when you first started. It's good though, that's what you want to feel. The more DOMS pain you have the better. The longer your muscles are in the anabolic state, the more they will grow. As long as you're giving them the right stuff to be able to grow.
