It'd be a fucking nightmare. Imagine trying to grab data from a server and instead of taking some seconds, it takes fucking minutes because your navi has to walk all the way through the server's "net" to get to its end terminal. That's even ignoring that viruses are fucking everywhere and can make that process take even longer, and you run the risk of losing your navi. It's just a bad idea all around.
