Do you play/have at one point played Fortnite? If you played it and then decided not to continue playing it, what turned you away from it?

Used to, Battle Royale mode

concept never interest me, I only downloaded it and played it because my little brothers loved it and it was a way we could all play a game together without dumping money, but in the end I just dont like the game or the concept of battle royales but I can see why people would like them

I played it for a few hours with some friends when it first came out on the Switch.

It was just boring. Every round I felt like I sent 95% of the time stocking up and farming for a quick firefight. And the one time we did win it felt completely anticlimactic, I don't remember exactly what happened.

I remember at first I kinda liked the artstyle and how it was sorta going for a more cartoon and colorful style than other BR games were. Sort of like what TF2 did with objective-based FPS games though. As time has gone on though I think it looks pretty terrible, it's "Dreamworks Face" the artstyle.

The crafting mechanic was nifty but ultimately felt out of place. I thought it could be implemented better in a physics based platformer or something singleplayer.

I’m watching a streamer play it as we speak :3

Played for like a week. No music turned me off big time. Boring gameplay turned me off even more. Made it to top 10 a few times, but not because I was good or anything, just got lucky and didn't run into anyone for a long time.

>rng weapons and consumable drops
>rng weapon effectiveness
>rng shooting
>in a subgenre of fps (its not even first person what the fuck) where any mistake can be brutally punished with not being able to keep playing tha match
fuck off, saged

>see guy in the distance
>take shot at him
>he immediately builds a 50 foot tall castle around himself
Yeah no

Never played, watching some people try it out turned me off because of the building aspect. Building looks boring and stupid as hell in that type of game.

>there are people who don't know that Fortnite used to be a different game entirely before they took my money and ran to chase the battle royale trend
Yes I still fucking mad
