This game was my jam when I was a kid, but didn't the factions have palette swapped units? I vaguely remember the gungans having animals with cannons on top and them being basically the same as AT-ATs, but I might be misremembering. It has been way too long.

What story? two thirds of the runtime was pretend politics and poorly written trade disputes.

The amount of politics in the prequels is grossly overstated. There's like one political scene in each movie. Everybody parrots the idea that TPM is mostly about space politics but it's not even. The politics in the crawl are just a set up for the conflict, and the scene later on at the Senate is the catalyst for Padme to return to Naboo. In short, they're literally only there to facilitate the titular STAR WARS.

EDF 4.1's last few missions have that feel

The Jedi weren't expecting to be betrayed by their entire army though and the ones that went down in the Genosian arena were just knights and padawns. Grevious nerf however is unacceptable.

I'm more concerned with how calm he is and how premeditated the action was. Like everyone else in the elevator goes in high alert and he looks like he's just going not this shit again.

Apparently the way he got 70s black american life so accurately is he went around NYC with a tape recorder and interviewing black pedestrians by asking "What is it like to be black in America?" What you typed is bullshit. He had years to go plan out a final season, instead of a movie he was given an entire season, the old writers were willing to share their ideas, and Adult Swim gave him twice the amount of episodes than initially agreed. Genndy is entirely to blame here.

I already had to have seen it like 10 times in my life. One of the first movies I can remember seeing as a tot as well. I will make it 11 anyway though because it's probably my favorite rotoscoped animation.

Genndy was given less episodes than he had planned for (10) and didn't want to retread the IDW comic's ending (which was the most logical, straight-forward route since it was made a year or two before S5 got greenlit and assumed there would never be an official end).

I think Ashi's place in the story was poorly handled but I would not say S5 sucked overall. S5E1-3 are some of the best episodes in the entire series, and 4-10 each had at least one great scene that shows that Genndy hasn't lost his ability to direct action or write a good joke; it's really just culminating a story like Jack's wasn't something he was prepared to do under those circumstances, since I don't think he'd ever written the ending to anything before. Everything before Jack S5 was episodic of cancelled (although he says he finished scripts for Sym-Bionic Titan episodes that never got made).

Primal feels like a direct response to Jack S5; Genndy is going back to his forte, which is low-dialogue action sequences. I really like that [as] is willing to greelight animated short series; Primal & Uzumaki both look fantastic (although FLCL2&3 weren't close to the original).

Its a pretty good idea. One multi purpose vehicle that is able to smash through an enemies defenses and safely transport troops past the defenses at the same time.
