The campaign's short but genuinely fun as fuck. It's a very earnest game, they recognize what people want and don't try to tack on anything that wouldn't fit the core appeal. Multiplayer's also fun, but very limited these days - the main mode, Annihilation, gets players but the other modes tend not to really win out in that regard.

best movement in a shooter, easy to pick up the basics but difficult to master and use optimally, you don't have to hang out in a jump server for a year to be able to use it well during combat but there are things you can brush up on and practice
game is very unbalanced but in a modern warfare 2 sort of way where it comes out fun anyway, and the high skill cap the movement offers helps mitigate the feeling of being cheesed by weapons as much, if you know the map and you can go fast there are only a few things that'll fuck you up

titans have their moments. I hate stomping pilots in them because it's so effortless and any of the titans with hitscan are absolutely infuriating, but the david and goliath dynamic REALLY comes together sometimes.
When you actually outmaneuver and absolutely juke a titan, do a mess of damage to them, take their battery, call your titan, then perform a perfect phase rewind back into your waiting titan's safety bubble booting up in point blank range with a full shield like "My turn now, fucker" it's the best shit out there.

Niggers it was a sequel. Everyone knew how Titanfall 1 worked by the time 2 dropped. At the very least, everyone saw gameplay and you can tell from 5 seconds of footage how the movement mechanics add a clear skill ceiling above and beyond your average 2010s shooter, but it was rejected only for mobas of all things to take over.
This was it. An almost perfect combination of ADS modern shooting combined with old school arena shooter mechanics built by one of the last AAA studios in the industry with an ounce of passion for what they do and the consumers completely rejected it.
I hope they're paying out the nose for whatever disgusting money making scheme EA comes up with next. They deserve Battlefield V, Battlefront II, unskippable ads in sports games, loot box and pay2win mechanics, and the ever increasing focus on catering to the absolute lowest common denominator. They deserve it and worse.

They are shooters but got NOTHING on TF2
The controls, the speed, the sheer number of moves and tactics and stuff to do in a single match with robots and flying kicks and perfect pacing and inputs, graphics crisp enough, no bloom, excellent visual feedback, brutal noises, inventive gadgets, voice acting, superb visuals and designs without being HURR FUTUR WE MASS EFFECT NOW, and most of all, the Mastiff and the L-STAR
Then the fuckton of gamemodes and high skill ceiling with a base game mechanics that make even the shittiest player feel fun being in a match.
Titanfall 2 deserves much much more recognition it has. It has to be played to "get".
Origin is just the TF2 launcher for me. That should be it for everyone.
