Had my first experience with goldshire erp, being a bystander of course. Some dude told everyone in general chat that he'd pay 1 gold to have another dude virtually suck his cock in the inn. Sickening curiosity lead me to the inn to see if the mad lad was actually doing it and there they were, throwing out emotes and acting like gay anime men staring in hentai and getting drunk. Waiting for them free character transfers to open up cause I'm far too busy/impatient to wait 2-3 hours in queue

I have no idea where to start, and I don't really want to pay for a subscription, yet at least.
I did a minor bit of research and I found that I'd probably play a Troll Hunter or a Human Warrior, I got pretty disappointed when I saw that there used to be throwing weapons, throwing axes and Spears seemed neat.
I absolutely no sentimental connection with Vanilla since I have never played WoW before so I don't understand the hype.
Any advice on where to start? I think I am gravitating towards retail.
