I worked at FedEx as a package handler and we literally did not have time to take proper care of the boxes. I tried to do everything as carefully as I could and I would constantly get yelled at for not finishing my trucks fast enough. The worst was smalls. They would just take a huge trash bin into the truck and slam those things into it as fast as possible to clear the truck then just dump them all on the conveyor belt. Bigs would get kicked around and tipped off the dock all the time. There were normally only one person to a line of trucks and we only had THREE Dollies in the whole facility. So instead of finding someone to help or tracking down a Dollie people just kicked them around and then over the edge of the dock and onto the floor a good three foot drop in some spots.
