She's lived alone since she was eight, and she's afraid of letting other people into her heart, afraid of trusting or relying on others, even when she needs to. Come a couple scenes later and she all but tells you this directly, she's terrified of falling in love, but she did it anyway, wanting you to look at her the way she looks at you.

Fuuka has a nice character arc in my eyes.
In the main story, Fuuka is never seen and only heard of, with rumors going around that she's very sickly and that she has been missing for days because she is supposedly resting at home.
Later on you find out this isn't true, she has actually been missing for days, but it has been covered up by her teacher and her parents so that her academic record doesn't show her as absent from school for no reason.
This shows how strict her parents are, they would place her grades over her wellbeing. This is confirmed later on by Fuuka when she says that her parents have an inferiority complex because all her relatives are doctors, so they push her to be a perfect student, but don't care about her otherwise.

When you eventually meet her, Fuuka is very meek and quiet, when she's offered a place in SEES she immediately accepts, and why wouldn't she? Sees is giving her given everything she wanted.
An escape from her neglectful parents, a place that she can belong to and a team she can be useful to, Fuuka had no reason to say no.
Fuuka as a teammate is very involved in the team's wellbeing, she trains with her power constantly, and when something goes wrong she always blames herself.

Later in the game, Fuuka finds out that her closest friend, Natsuki, is moving away, and that she'll likely not see her in a very long time. Natsuki and Fuuka have a conversation in the rooftop, with Natsuki telling Fuuka that if she accepts things the way they are, they'll never change. She mentions that Fuuka helped her realize what she really wants to do with her life, and that she hopes Fuuka does the same,
This makes Fuuka reflect on who she is as a person, what motivates her, why she is who she is. She explains that she's always been afraid of not being liked, which caused her to try and please everyone so that she'll fit in somewhere. She realizes this has caused her to neglect herself, and that she's never thought about what she wanted for herself.
Natsuki says goodbye to Fuuka, and shortly after she leaves, Fuuka receives a message from her, telling her that "Even if we're apart, we'll always be connected"
This phrase makes Fuuka reflect on what drives her, and she realizes that she's always been worried about how others are, how they feel and what they're going through.
It's in this moment that Fuuka finally understands herself and what she truly wants.
"It makes me happy to see everyone else happy too"
She finally knows who she is, she finally understands what moves her, what motivates her.

It's not a big character arc, it doesn't involve someone dying for her.
But it shows a girl who's always put others before herself, who's almost forgotten about herself finally learning to look at the beauty she has inside.

Yukari's definitely the stronggest of the three (due to P3 being the best written) but even still, she loses out to Fuuka and Mitsuru (and the teacher desu). All three have difficulty getting close to people but whereas Fuuka struggles to express, and Mitsuru holds herself to a standard of acting, making it awkward for her to connect casually, Yukari actively and purposely keeps others at a distance, because she's insecure of herself and her past. That, alongside Fuuka being cute and Mitsuru being beautiful makes her less of a good choice imo.
Rise's an insecure tease, who's no more pretty than any if the other girls but still actively tries to use beauty as a social currency to make up for her lack of personality.
And Ann's really just a boring character. Her arc is almost as self-contained as Haru's but without the benefit of 1. A better appearance and fashion sense 2. Interesting speech, and 3. Despite having Ann having a whip being worse at Kinks than Haru

I like it. Collecting and fusing demons is fun, the combat system (Press Turn) is fun. Modern Persona games are pretty much SMT-lite with slice-of-life layered on top to break up the action. It's as good a place to start as any.

It was Yukari who managed to snap Mitsuru out of her depression when no one else could, getting the latter to evolve Penthesilea into Artemisia. The fact that it was Kirijo that caused the whole thing and that now they're trying to clean up their mistakes doesn't change anything, and it's not like Mitsuru was actively deceiving the newer members, she just didn't mention the backstory behind it because it wouldn't have mattered to anyone but Yukari.

It's a recurring theme with her in the earlier parts of the game. Nobody but her believes that Fuuka is being coerced into joining SEES, nobody but her cares about Kirijo's past, and nobody but her tries to condemn the entire world to destruction just so they can see their dead friend one more time. Pretty it up however you like, but at the end of the day what it all boils down to is that Yukari turns her own personal issues into everyone's problems, and THAT is why so many anons dislike her.

The first time was the alley encounter to search for clues about Natsuki's friends, and that was so Shinji could be a badass and headbutt punks and tell you to get lost.

The second was when Arcana Empress and Emperor blindsided the team and she was forced to sit out the fight. That's why she insisted on going on the Arcana Heirophant + Lovers operation, because she wanted to fight.

The third was when she got robbed in her social link and you rush in and beat up the robber punks, she in a roundabout way says she appreciated your help but was still hesitant about fully admitting she needed you, and if you try to hug her it reverses the link, saying you're treating her feelings as a game and not as a person.

Aside from the first, which was dumbassery on multiple parts, the others were about standing on her own two feet.

No, she starts to associate with you after you comfort her during the Yakushima event where her faith in her father is shattered. It's Junpei that's jealous of you for your crazy combat ability, which he thought was his only good point. Yukari even tries to bridge the gap at first after realizing that both you and she lost parents, before realizing that was insensitive and shutting up.

Pretty much, yeah. Though you are wrong on one point, she doesn't do anything helpful from a gameplay perspective either

Again, Yukari had reasonable reason to believe that Mitsuru was hiding something, because her father worked for the Kirijo Group and died under mysterious circumstances that killed a lot of people. She joined to find the truth about her dad, and suspected that Mitsuru knew more than she was letting on, showing Mitsuru didn't trust the younger members with information that they might want to know. I don't know why you're trying to fault her for being curious and investigative about the truth, as if anyone wouldn't be and just take things at face value.

Except that it does, repeatedly. Mitsuru's grandfather tried to end the world. Yukari's dad released the thirteen full moon shadows, killing a lot of people. Aigis, a Kirijo Group weapon, got the protagonist's parents killed and sealed the agent for causing the end of the world inside him, which also attracted the other twelve once he returned to Tatsumi Port Island. Ikutsuki trying to start the Fall again stems back from the research Mitsuru's grandfather did. And Strega and the Nyx cult were formed from Kirijo's human experimentation because Mitsuru proved the existence of Personas and they wanted that power, leading others to desire the Fall too.

You just answered your own question, dingus. Mitsuru didn't actually want to rewind time, she just felt she owed Yukari so she wanted to give her at least the appearance of having a chance. The two of them were never going to win against the rest of SEES plus Metis, and Mitsuru knew that, she just wanted to give Yukari a chance to get the tantrum out of her system.
