Worst case scenario, I just scroll down my settings in the creator, and then create a one-minute clip recording and turn it into a webm for others to see.

I disagree.
Codes allow you to swap builds without cheating or starting over so you can experiment far more, and the variety of skills for each code whether they're active or passive greatly increases depth.
It's like they looked at souls and said "Nobody ever uses combat-based consumable items like knives and green blossoms because they're consumable, what if we just had them regen like Estus too?" and now everyone is using them to spice up combat.

You do, but you don't level up individual stats.
As for combat, CV has more moves per weapon, drain attacks, Blood Codes and Gifts, etc, all of which are extremely useful. The mechanics inherently have more depth, though you can argue about execution. Just spamming light attack severely limits your DPS and efficiency

Well, Lords of the Fallen and Surge 1 weren't exactly great games, but at least they made Surge 1 a little interesting, because LotF was a fucking piece of shit, short, slow, single player, zero customization, zero build variation.

Surge 1, and in this case Surge 2, can be better, but still single player and I guess you just improve the suit energy like the first one and equip new things, like in the first one, so zero replayability.

It's not just about that, the enemy's movement feel very jerky and quick, like a sekiro enemy's but without the smoothness of the animation, but your character's movements do not compliment these faster animations at all.

As a comparison the undead legion is a very "Sekiro" type boss but they work in DS3 because your character doesn't feel sluggish unless you're overweight and their movements are smooth and telegraph'd well.

This isn't the case in code vein, bloodborne is another good example of how the characters in code vein should be moving but do not. It's way too unpolished.

In an interview with the developpers, they stated very very very clearly that it was meant to be a spin on Dark Souls/Bloodborne; they even cited the names of the games many times during the video. Director said he's a huge fan of FromSoft's works and that he would make his best to stick as much as possible to the feeling they provide.

I'm vaguely worried about the amount of content although based off GE3 2.0 there will probably be substantial post-release support
there's the ruined city, probably a similar ruined city again in a flashback where you're partnered with Jack, the desert level, fire level, snow level, anor londo, and the depths side areas. From the level design BTS vid, the levels themselves don't seem extremely large. They've also never shown anything significant from before the delay either so unless they've managed to keep half the game a secret it seems pretty small for what they claim to be ~30-40 hours.

Anyone played God eater resurrection? The predator style system felt so much better than blood veils, which feel like you can barely do anything with.

I just played the demo. Forget this game and buy monster hunter iceborne. It's a way better game.

They did improve the combat since the beta but it still remains a bit clunky - which is a shame, I actually really like the Blood Code system. And as much as the artstyle started to grow on me (I really didn't like the clashing art directions at first) it's also a pretty big weakness because I can't even say how many times I've got hit because of all the particle effects that cover 60% of your screen and mask what the enemy is doing.

Either way, once this comes out there's gonna be Io paizuri pics so I win anyways. But out of the three upcoming Soulslikes this one's probably at the bottom of my list.

I'd rather be playing Nioh over any From or Surge/LotF trash to be honest. Code Vein's way below Nioh in the combat department, but not having the awful loot system is a plus and Ichor+blood codes puts it miles ahead of dark souls and Surge trash. I care less about the polish and more about what the game lets me do in combat

Yeah, there's plenty of variety. There's even stuff like zombies and black girls with giant afros.
In any case, you should be able to get close to what you want and then change the eyes or clothes to your liking.
