Why do zoomers and reddit retards need see through cases? Mine is hidden in an alcove and it's totally solid with good airflow.

The only good case. Fuck your fancy shit cases.

Attached: Plain Beige PC case.jpg (300x300, 9K)

The only things that matters for a pc case is
>Sturdy
>Inexpensive
>cable management.
>Fit all parts correctly
>Good airflow
Any 90's - current year case will do the job if it fits these criteria.

Nice airflow you fucking faggot

i remember some guro manga about alive human's organs suspended in the air like that

just take the sidepanel off dipshit

>airflow
Only matters when you have a fucking shitty overpowered, overheating pile of goddamn shit PC for MAHGRAFX Yea Forumsgame-loving idiots.

Oh hey I have this
It's very nice and easy to clean

based fractalKINO bro, truly a tasteful brand. i got the r5 myself

fractal is overrated shit. right usb port doesn't work and fans make vibration noise on mine

>not using an open air bench

This is a video games board...

>not ziptying the parts onto a milk crate for maximum airflow

sounds like you should send it back or fix it

I have a Corsair Mastercase 5 with the Maker upgrade added on later. I added wood trim so it looks asthetic af. I'll post the pic later.

>cant post images
Why even call it an imageboard, just call it red dit

Listen zoomer, in 2002 i've opened my case and didnt even close it for 2-3 years had 0 problems with it, only cleaned it 1 every 2 years
Yal idiots care about muh airflow while not even being most hardcore overclocker

Nice dust collector asshole.
Nice 29 fps at 480p faggot

Muh retro cases are just as bad as rainbow gaymer cases, you're just as obsessed with a trend as them

Give me 5 good reasons a hollowed out pinball table wouldn't make a good PC case

Attached: pc in pinball table.jpg (1280x720, 90K)

front io should be on top and labelled mobo stand holes would be nice but otherwise great

I love the power supply shroud meme, and how it sits directly above your GPUs airflow so your hardware runs at 60c minimum.

At least you have your RGB lighthouse, zoomtards.

what cases aren't chasing trends then

>no cable routes
Store a lot of images from 2004, do you?

Is it possible to get old cases for computers to work with modern hardware? I like the old look.

That looks a lot like my 2012 build

Imagine caring about the fucking case

The Atx standard hasn't changed in decades. Just be careful about the gpu clearance and fan sizes.

please stop buying cases with windows on them
it's not the 90s you don't need to see the gay circuitboards they're not cool

Yea Forums scrubs exif data automatically, dumpass

This. Not only is my case under my desk, the window is facing the wall corner. It's completely out of sight and it takes up 0 desk space.

>it's not the 90s you don't need to see the gay circuitboards they're not cool
I think they're cool though. I like seeing electronic guts

it's pretty big

No vents? Show temps!

What are you trying to buy, user? I was able to find non-gaudy components easily. I do have some lights of my box, but they're all one color and I bought the lighted fans separately.

You can find inexpensive GPUs on Ebay easily. Building a computer is not as expensive as it seems.

Cool power armor bro

but I have ATX by the moment

Best case.

Corsair and CoolerMaster have a cube ATX case.

>AMD GPU prices are on the same level with Nvidia
Take the mid-range pill, and legitimately don't be leery of secondhand GPUs if they're in good condition. 8GB VRAM RX580 only ran me $100 on eBay even though I'm pretty sure it was used for crypto mining before this to be that low at the time.

IF THE CASE DOESN'T HAVE HANDLES ITS A SHIT CASE. EVERY FUCKING CASE NEEDS TO HAVE HANDLES ON IT.

There is a much better airflow case, but I'm not saying. I don't need you zoomers jacking the price up.

No one here want your cheese grater, Tim.

>I'm going to combat people showing off with case lights by showing off with a plain case.
That's kinda sad user.

I have a zalman z9 plus and lots of regrets

I don't give a shit. I've had this case for 8 years and temps are still more than acceptable.

For what purpose?

Airflow shit is a literal meme. They haven't found any evidence that most cases have impactful performance

My nigga

I have this one.

Expand on this please

You can change the position of the power button, I have mine on top.

>H500

I respect it, but I personally think the H700 looks better. I am a little bit jealous of the vanity bracket however, even if my video card won't fit in it very well.

Would be kino a f especially if you had usb compat paddle inputs to play virtual pinball with on your pc

What did he mean by this?

That looks a lot like my case and if it is you don’t have a choice but for it to end up like that

I have one that looks like that, but it doesn't have the gay ass lights, it just have a faint yellow light inside, it glows blue when on.

What the fuck happened to removable motherboard trays? They skimp on that shit, but add fucking front fan rainbow brite? DURRRR

Does anyone remember the mini-ITX case that had handles that sort of looked like wings on it?

I used to have this case in 2008 or 9 I cant remember.

>Daddy would you like some sausage

What was you're first case Yea Forums?
My case was a rosewill fbm-01

Used to be a huge glossfag.

Old ass cream colored heavy as fuck, it had port for floppy disks tho so it was the shit.

If there's no glass, why would a PSU shrowd matter.

How’s the cable management
t. Elite 110

>Allegedly great case
>mobo input power cables have nowhere to route at the bottom

was considering this for my first build
is it a good pick? white or black?

Friend gave me this one two years ago when he got a new desktop setup, and honestly hasn't given me much trouble.
I don't really know much about cases so not sure if it's actually good compared to other options or not.

Attached: pdp_473fd3592a31ae52.png (700x700, 126K)

Its easy to build in besides the shitty glass thumbscrews. Whatever you prefer just make sure to not get a h710 unless you have a 3.1 gen2 header on your motherboard. They gimped the ports on that but fixed the glass being ass.

Who /mastercase/ here?

That's pretty cool, I bet the air would feel nice

>it doesn't have a ventilated front panel

A little messy but not unmanageable.

If I had room in my tiny ass apartment bedroom, this woulda been my choice

The was the first thing that came to my mind.

Also, for no real reason whatsoever I ask my wife once a week if she has seen Freddy Got Fingered and her answer is always "no, I don't like Tom Green"

It does though. You see the small grate and the bottom-front of the case? (it's also on the other side), there's a fan behind it on the inside. It also happens to be next to the HDD bays.

My absolute nigga I love that thing. More cases should have solid carry handles and inbuilt cable management systems.
>don't make these anymore
no fucking way you're shitting me

Antec Titan in 2005. Compared to modern cases it's garbage but compared to Office beige garbage it was a revelation. It's really sad to know how much Antec dropped the ball in the early 2010's. They were usually the choice of case for anything other than Lian-Li lovers.

Attached: titan.jpg (500x660, 56K)

I would agree with you, but it turns out that a lot of the cases that have been improved to be easier to open (hinged side panels, quick releases, side screws) are also the ones with windows.

I don't need to see into my PC, but I'll be damned if I'm fighting with rails to slide my heavy ass side panel back on again with this new build. FUck that.,

if you are wasting $60 or more extra on fans why the hell not just get a better stock case?

You can turn off the rgb shit if you don't want, BUT for a price it's one of the best, if not the best case around. Exceptional airflow, filters everywhere, a lot of room for expansion, multiple high quality case fans, ability to mount almost any water setup

how hard is it to fuck up building a pc? im a fucking dumbass and never build anything and im scared of spending a shitton of money on parts to fuck them up.

Attached: TwinEngine (1).jpg (231x260, 54K)

if you can build a set of lego or ikea furniture, you can build a pc

you do realize that picture is literally a PC playing virtual pinball, right?

>what is the walmart case

Pretty hard to fuck up provided you take per-cautionary measures like canceling out any static your body has stored so you don't zap your parts. Check out BitWit's PC Building guide on YouTube, I followed his guide and came out okay. The hardest part for me was getting the damn cooler on. Just remember not to pay full-price for Windows and to grab some key online, even eBay works.

nigga just look at youtube videos. its basically like legos.

>paying for windows at all
>paying for illegitimate keys
y i k e s

Putting the parts together is actually quite easy, the thing you got to be the most careful about is making sure your motherboard isn't broken on arrival. I had to send one back for a replacement because the connector pins for the CPU were bent.

>paying for windows
everyone laugh at this nigger

you mean CPU power?

>paying to pirate

thanks, im not lying Windows prices in computer stores seemed pretty high and was looking for something alternate, didnt think of just buying a key

so what's the alternative?

theres a ton of PC building videos on youtube.
even the videos where they are using shitty parts are still helpful because you still follow the same basic steps.

Well top and bottom. because of the feet

it idles at 34c but I probably buy a front intake fan

Attached: pdp_c9e6ed04b5d1b066.png (700x700, 171K)

Parts to buy:
Motherboard
GPU
CPU
Thermal Paste (if CPU doesn't come with it)
Aftermarket cooler (if CPU doesn't come with one)
Power supply
Case
Memory
Monitor (if you don't already have one)

Things to do:
Put CPU in Motherboard
Apply Thermal Paste onto CPU and then install cooler onto Motherboard
Plug in cooler fan into Motherboard
(Install Aftermarket cooler if you bought one)
Put Motherboard in Case
Put PSU in Case
Put Memory in Motherboard
Put GPU in Motherboard
Plug PSU cables in Motherboard, Case, and GPU
Plug Case cables into Motherboard
Plug Monitor cable into GPU

And you're done. It may seem intimidating but any faulty parts can be RMA'd (usually the memory), and if you take it slow and watch a video, you can't fuck up. Good luck user.

you pirate
you don't just buy a key from some ebay scammer selling it for a couple of bucks, either you pirate or you pay the full price that microsoft wants

My key from eBay has been working for over half a year now though. I'm pretty sure they just grab the keys from display models sold at stores and Microsoft doesn't care enough to do anything about them.

>forgot rear IO plate
>forgot mobo stands
>didn't attempt to post before installing
rookie mistakes

I didn't go into specifics for a reason. Every build is different, and many cases already have the stands pre-installed. It's up to user to google his case and watch a build video for it.

r8 me

Attached: EAT_49RWkAUFI_Y.jpg (969x2048, 329K)

Then what do you think is good then?

no build comes without a rear plate and it is by far the easiest thing to forget, and a major bitch to fix

posting before installing further than the CPU is a massive time saver to make sure your PC is actually going to work before you try putting it all together

>The hardest part for me was getting the damn cooler on
Let me guess, put the motherboard on the motherboard box?

That works fine until you need to put on the cpu heatsink. That usually requires a ton of pressure, especially if it has spring screws. That pressure will bend the box and make it a pain in the ass to mount.

What you should do is take everything out of the box and assemble it inside the empty box. That way you have a sturdy surface.

Someone post that webm of the computer that uses a key and a bunch of switches to turn on.

If you already have windows 7 or 8, you can just reuse that key as well. I'm surprised how this still isn't common knowledge at this point.

looks like a nigger made that. it's a literal boom box

most new mobos have the io shield built in nowadays.

This, and it's fucking annoying how hard it is to find a decent case that's not some memered glass bullshit. If you just want a glass box with glowing lights, go get a goddamn fish tank. I just want something that's sturdy, not going to fucking break, and has a subtle classy look.

stop being poor

fractal-design.com/products/cases/meshify/meshify-c/black/

Yes, meshify-c is based and it's what I use. Still though, the pickings are slim if you don't want an aquarium PC case.

Having like 8 drive bays is amazing

Attached: computer-case-nzxt-phantom-630-ca-p630w-w1-white.jpg (300x300, 19K)

Higher airflow means you can turn your fan curves down and have a quieter PC. No need for silencing cases if you can run all your system fans at 25%.

Come at me

Attached: 1537833979331.jpg (652x768, 145K)

Literally any over $60 has one. And ones cheaper than that you don't want to buy for any system that isn't an extreme budget build. Cheaping out on the mobo, like the PSU, is a recipe for frying your more expensive parts.

People's understanding of it is a fucking meme. Big empty cases are fucking terrible. The goal is ultimately higher airspeed through the case. It's why consoles and laptops can survive with few and tiny fans because they are mostly filled and can have high airspeed over everything.

Having high airspeed through larger, slower turning fans gives you an optimally cool and silent case.

Quintessentially American case.

Tipping my hat for a fellow fractalbro.

Quieter than water cooling with the same performance and the only trade-off is the cooler size and ease of installation. Who cares what it looks like

I do believe cases should be functional by containing the space, ports and cooling options for your needs. They're not for looks. They're to be hidden under the desk or behind the screen, and the computer should prove its worth by its performance rather than its flashy looks.
This is my case, it's been casing for me since 2012.

Attached: Elite 371.png (539x727, 869K)

their color scheme is horrid because it's recognizable, while everyone else just makes black or white fans
funny thing is now noctua is making black fans and charging extra for it
anyway they aren't even the best for aircooling, and in terms of performance actually somewhat overpriced, because of that brand recognition

tl;dr noctua isn't based

>White in the outside but black on the inside
A most perfect analogy for you

last one doesn't have rgb it's just a light

I kinda like my view 37
Fuck rgb in general, as I got rid of the rgb fans in the front and replaced them with 200mm fans and omitted the rgb controllers as my motherboard doesn't support it and put a water cooling system instead

Attached: case.jpg (720x720, 47K)

I have noctua case fans, and they do good work. They are still ugly as sin.
Nice meme though

Pure kino.

Attached: sonata.jpg (1000x1000, 77K)

This. I had a nice pearl white motif going on and then fucking ugly brown/tan fans. But they work so well. It's really irritating.

They don't even need it for brand recognition anymore. They are just solid coolers by themselves. They don't need more than that.

I actually kinda like the white one.

How good is it? I'm thinking of rebuilding my computer into it because I have some really cheap one. Is the fan in the door a plus or just a meme? My current case has two in the front, two on the top, one on the bottom, one in the back. Not sure if this is better.

pretty much the best water cooling case now that caselabs is closed

lately i feel an urge to make my own case. i learned how to drill out inserts for fans - there are actually tons of templates you can print out and easily drill into aluminum sheets

based tf02

Attached: 4.jpg (2000x1550, 1.93M)

How is that any different from the Raven cases they've been selling for close to a decade, except with more glass and RGB?

Fucking love this case. Its clean, straight to the point and lots of space to work with.

It has 3x high quality 200mm fans. The amount of air flowing through that case is 5-10x higher than whatever you're using - and that's when it's on idle

too lazy to grab an image but nanoxia deep silence 1

Attached: So then im all like yeah, i could fit another one in there.jpg (1504x1000, 510K)

1- Because it's huge
2- Because it's tilted
3- Because its tall as fuck what the hell is the point
4- It wouldnt have very good airflow unless you cut holes all over the sides
5- Probably a bitch to clean
You can't place the components on top of it, the mouse would slide down be annoying as hell, I'm not sure why anyone would even wanna consider it.

cute and funny little case.

Attached: QB_ONE_02.jpg (1000x1000, 476K)

Cooling isn't a linear function of air flow though. Every additional cubic foot per minute will do less for thermals than the last one, and very soon you'll hit the point of negligible benefits. I'm not saying my case air flow is great, but an RGB Raven isn't gonna accomplish something that older Ravens haven't long accomplished.

>got this on sale 6 years ago for $99
>it's been the home of 3 different builds since
>lots of room and lots of ventilation

literally the best case

Attached: Rosewill White.jpg (259x194, 6K)

I think I have the Deep Silence 3. It's alright and definitely delivers on the silence, but thermals aren't good at all.

Frankly I think the upright ATX form factor is obsolete in terms of cooling. None of the geometry makes any sense for uninterrupted air flow without dead corners and heat pockets.

Any evidence that that case is at some point of diminished returns, or are you talking out your poorfag ass?

Yes, the fact that it has far more airflow than any other case.

>Gamers Nexus also tested the 180mm version from years ago
That's exactly what I've been saying, Raven cases have accomplished this sort of cooling for many years, and making the fans slightly bigger and RGB isn't going to make a mentionworthy difference.

200mm fans have much higher airflow than 180mm fans. Study the geometry of a circle and realize that the surface area of a 200mm one is a lot higher than the surface area of a 180mm one.

how do you deal with dust?

The surface is a bit larger, but in return the fan speed must be lower to maintain the same blade edge velocity and therefore the same noise level.

Also 200mm fans still have no common screw spacing standard and are a pain to find matching replacements for if you ever need to.

What's even the point of these things? the purpose of a case is to protect the components. If you just have some exposed thing like this, you might as well just have the individual pieces strewn about on a desk with some cardboard under the mobo.

I cant help but feel that some of the GPUs charm (and cooling capability) would be lost since you have to place them facing upwards.

What's up with modern manufacturers ruining perfectly fine cases by adding only 2 hdd bays?

HDDs are phasing out for the consumer level, SSD prices have caught up. HDDs are still way cheaper for very large amounts of storage, but most people don't need more than 2-3TB of storage, which is reasonably affordable with purely SSD now.

never going to make it brah

I was drunk one night and bought this massive fucking thing
now every time I turn my computer on its like the scene from 2001 a space oddysey with the monkeys at the monolith

Do you at least have a cool water cooling system to go along?

Technically not a "case"
This thing is a dream for air cooling and is super easy to clean
Only other case that's tempted me to replace it is the Dan a4

No, but I plan on adding one when I upgrade the entire system from its i7-4790k and 980 in a few years

>bad airflow cases have proven significantly higher temps
>no evidence

if you don't care about cases just go open bench, that has airflow.

Should also add that I plan to have both radiators inside the case and outside a window so I can send the heat outside in the summer and keep it inside in winter

lian-li. if your case has a bunch of plastic like most in the thread, you are poor.

that's an ITX case, it's pretty small

I got an HAF from my brother when I built my computer 5 years ago, I don't know how long he had the case for but it is pretty decent, bitch to clean the front grill though.
Must be an older model because no clear side/front fan
