We are in the final third of 2019

We are in the final third of 2019.
What have you liked so far? Pic related is just what I've played and liked.
Does the rest of the year holding anything for you?

Ace7 is the best game of the year. DMC5 was a letdown. Sekiro had potential to be so much more, same with Control. The rest of the year has nothing more for me.

You're missing Overcooked 2
Also, the only game I'm pretty hyped for it's Untitled Goose Game

DMC5 is my favourite so far. Cant stop playing it.
RE2 was good, thoughroughly enjoyed it but haven't replayed it yet.
KH3 was boring and I dropped it.
Still to play Sekiro, looking forward to it.

>Thoroughly enjoyed
DMC5
Astral Chain
Bloodstained
Risk of Rain 2
RE2
>Around here is my top 5
Blazing Chrome
Katana Zero

>Just okay
Sekiro
My Friend Pedro
Luna Nights

Still need to play / finish
Judgment
AC7
FE3H (playing now and enjoying)

Only really looking forward to Daemon x Machina for the rest of the year.

>Luna Nights
Did you like it more than Wily Beasts?

>Ace 7
loved it
>REmake 2
loved it
>EDF5
loved it

I still hope that Demon X Machina will be good, now that F3H and Astral Chain severly disappointed me.
BL3 is something I wanna check out, and then we have Death Stranding, which will most likely deliver. Oh and Weegee 3: Canada weegee 2.

I'm gonna completely honest with you, I don't know shit about 2hu besides secondary memes and played it because I was itching for another metroidvania after finishing Bloodstained and the spritework looked great. I can tell you what I liked / didn't like but only as a standalone game.

>I can tell you what I liked / didn't like but only as a standalone game.
Yeah sure. That's fine. Go ahead.

DMC5 was very good but not everything I had hoped for
REmake 2 was great
RoR2 is my jam
haven't played Control but it looks like it's up my alley

overall, this has mostly been a backlog year for me, which I don't mind at all

Is Silksong gonna be a surprise 2019 release?
If so, that one in both cases.

DMC5 and Bloodstained was everything I wanted them to be. Katana Zero was okay, very overrated. Now I am balls deep into Classic so I won't play other games that much. But I do want to play RE2, Blazing Chrome, Baba is You, Control, AC7. The year is pretty good honestly.

OK
The good:
>Sprites and artwork as previously mentioned are great
>Soundtrack is excellent
>Timestop mechanic leads to fun platforming puzzles
>Well designed bosses

What hurt it for me are
>it's really short, like two-ish hours for 95% map completion short
>incredibly linear, very little thought in backtracking or using powerups to access new areas
>powerups are underwhelming

Basically it's a pretty good action platformer but really falls flat as a metroidvania.

To think it doesn't matter how shit Death Stranding may or not be but it's still going to beat RE2 because "MY CLOSE PERSONAL FRIEND HIDEO KOJIMA."

I'm only trying to remember the specific 2019 games I bothered with
>absolute peak
DMCV
HSoB
Hellsinker, since it kind-of counts

>stood out
WBaWC

>it alright, will finish again years later
Luna Nights
Sekiro
Muse Dash

not bothering including dropped games since it'll turn into shitpost bait

pic unrelated

I think I'll check it out. Sounds good and hell if it's only 2 hours why not?

>Enjoyed and replayed ALOT
DMC 5
Sekiro
Ace Combat 7
EDF

>Enjoyed, worth the 2-5 replays
RE2Remake

>Played and satisfied
Control

>Played but disappointed
KH 3
other games I haven't played yet

isn't katana zero just hotline miami but as a side scroller?

but it sucks!
Overcooked 1 is the superior game.
Also I could have sworn 2 already came out last year.

yeh, same here. I'm totally hyped for goose game.
Was also excited for LOZ but that will have to wait. Goose game comes first. It's sad when people on here have never heard about it.

Why did it get delayed so often? I'm still afraid it will be a broken mess on release and we will need to wait long for a patch.

Yes and worse in every possible way. Well, maybe art is better.

>ctrl + f CTR, nothing
>ctrl + f Crash, nothing

fuck Activision for killing this game and fuck Beenox too

What's this Goose game?

Resident Evil 2 is a gem. I loved each second of gameplay.

Sekiro could've been better, but it's definitely worth playing. Although it wasted a lot of potential, it doesn't feel rushed like the Souls series.

A Plague Tale was a pleasant surprise. I found it thoroughly worked on and a satisfying if modest beginning for a game series.

>excellent and goty material
nothing
>good shit
sekiro
ion fury
bloodstained
>enjoyable
dmc5
katana zero
re2r
ac7
mordhau
judgment
>ok
my friend pedro
>disappointment of the year
metro exodus

>LOZ
Legend of Zelda?

Haven't played Metro Exodus. What went wrong?

Not really. There's certainly influences but Katana Zero absolutely has its own identity and even surpasses Hotline Miami imo. Well worth checking out, it's my favourite game this year

In terms of new games I liked (from best to worst):
Bloodstained
God Eater 3
Varnir
Death End re:Quest
KH3

... man, I didn't play many new games this year

so many normies don't know it.
untitled goose game

On top of my head

>Enjoyed and actively play currently
Dragon Quest Builders 2
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Underrail Expedition
FFXIV Shadowbringers

>Enjoyed, finished it
Katana Zero
DMCV
AC7
Amid Evil
Touhou Luna Nights

>Plan on playing
Ion Fury
Pathologic 2

Probably some other games I don't remember on top of my head. I very rarely encounter games I truly disliked or thought it was shit.

astral chain

Definitely play pathologic 2. It is quite something else and not the kind of game you come across often.

DMCV is my GOTY EDF is runner up and RE2 and Sekiro were good too. Iceborne is about to blow my dick off.
