you can find other survivors but they may or may not betray you
you can make noise to attract the alien to kill other survivors and take their supplies but one survivor may get away and make it their life's mission to kill you
other survivors can distract the alien so you can get supplies, you can either run away with them or help the other survivors. if you abandon them the survivors will try to kill you later.
