Game tries to get you to feel moral dilemmas

>game tries to get you to feel moral dilemmas
>It fails

David Cage is an hack

>Play a game about androids
>Don’t care about androids

>once i found out the kid was an android
That's like, the end of the game

>I don't give two shits about androids
The premise is actually really powerful

It's a thinly veiled story about racism using robots instead of black people

>trying to force me to feel sympathy for a machine
imagine caring about your toaster lmao

What gave it away? The city of Detroit?

>thinly veiled
not with that title

>David Cage is an hack
What an original opinion user, did you come up with that by yourself?

Do not blaspheme thy lord's hallowed name for he shall strike you down in due course.

>androids can't choose
>you play the android
>you choose
who is the android really

Androids can JASON

It was cool for what it is, but it kinda soured my taste in the game a bit how you could go to the flowchart and replay sections and it most of them always ended the same sorta way, with stuff like someone dies either way.

>Option 1: Bad choice
>Option 2: Slightly worse choice
>Option 3: Terrible, suicidal or ironic choice
>Good ending is obtained by picking option 1 at least 90% of the time
I stole the guy's laundry

That's why I never play this sort of game more than once through. The illusion of choice only works as long as you don't see how similar all the paths are. I imagine real life is the same way

The story is only bad if you make bad choices, if you let yourself get coerced into boring storyline. Actual best end:
>Connor stays a machine, shoots Chloe, kills Hank at the rooftop
>Markus chooses violent revolution, Connor stops him at the end
>Kara sacrifces herself so Alice can cross
>Connor complestes his mission and gets replaced at the end for a newer model
This is objectively kino.

Like almost all modern material about muh android rights (this, the tv show Humans, every second Black Mirror episode, West World) it's fucking retarded since we are meant to morally look down on humans who treat them badly even though to their knowledge they are just appliances going wonky since they almost never find out they've become self-aware until late in the story. Comparing it to racism is, ironic considering its always lefties making this tripe, extremely offensive and implies that it's reasonable to believe black people are non-sentient property. A not retarded story would be about purposefully creating androids who are sentient but still treating them badly, like what happens in real world slavery, and not them just becoming conscious by le contrived accident or le mysterious hacking no human notices for some reason despite creating the things.

I don't want to kill Mr. Krabs

>le contrived a ccident or le mysterious hacking
Stop being a fag
