I'd love that too, but there's no way they'll try to sell a true route that doesn't try to redeem Edeltard. I liked the idea of a sort of nightmare route that some anons have suggested, where Edelgard really does blow the Agarthans' cover and they unleash hell upon Fodlan, and the three lords fight a bitter resistance against them together (with a living Jeralt, etc).

I'm 90% convinced Claude is just in there to make up numbers, and was a later addition to the story. He doesn't drive the plot in any way, and the drama of the story is fundamentally about Edelgard and Dimitri. Claude is just kinda there.
