So now they live the rest of their lives in hiding after Rinoa's bullshit rebellion failed while she gets off scott free and has a loyal dog who can protect her from all political motivated crimes she did before. Rinoa is annoying shit and I hated how the story bent itself to shield her from consequences.

FF8 is shit and everything about this shitty game disgusts me, especially Rinoa. And the thought of FF8 getting remade makes me want to vomit because rumor has it that if FF7 Remake sells well they'll remake more games and naturally since SE only acknowledges Nomura FF games FF8 will be the natural choice for another remake.

When I was 17, before I became a weeb, I remember thinking how unnatural and weird that sounded. It's the one line I remember most from the game. After becoming a weeb around age 35, I realized what 'Sis Ellone' was originally meant to be and then it made sense. But as far as a translation goes? That game had a shit translation. no seriously, why do you think you can rename only squall and rinoa (and stuff related to them)? It's so you can replace one of the names with (you) and romance one half of what was a very common cliche type of pairing in japanese media at the time.

the reason stuff like R=U or squall is dead are such popular fan theories that the developers had to actively say its not true is because its the only thing that gives the two cardboard cutouts that this entire games plot are about anything resembling depth or character

The draw system is only bad until you figure out the alternatives and then break the game. The level scaling and pay system are fucking whack though, as are some of the card game rules since the card game becomes a part of the regular game. Also level scaling isn't inherently bad but this game has a cluster fuck interpretation of it that is easy as fuck to power game.

I think thats why they discourage level grinding in that game
