Hero is one of my favorite characters in the game and it's still hard to believe we're getting Banjo. Tied with getting Ridley, K-Rool and Simon fucking Belmont in the base game and I'm pleased as pie. The nest two characters could be shit tier and it wouldn't matter, the roster is already fantastic

so far, yes. I've played ultimate itself less than all the previous smash games, I have hundreds of hours in the previous games but only about 30 in ultimate because it feels like a season 2 of smash 4 rather than a new game.

Moreover, the DLC is pretty shit thus far. The third party selections are mostly boring to me and the limited amount of major first party nintendo characters left would be as good if not better. Joker is shit, Hero is ok, Banjo is the best so far, and if rumors are true an SNK fighter would be boring as shit (although if it's metal slug would be based as fuck)

1. Joker
2. Sora
3. Waluigi
4. K. Rool
5. Zero

3 of these are in, which is more than I ever expected. Waluigi and Zero are assist trophies, which I can live with, and Sora is one of my impossible wants (along with Jotaro Kujo lol) so if the last two were my least wanted I would not care at all.

Even if the next is an SNK character, as someone with no attachment to those games, I'm sure Sakurai will make them fun like Joker/Hero, and getting both Joker and Banjo for 25 dollars was more than worth it to me.

Nah, two personal winners for me so far, with the third one being a character I am perfectly ok with. I can take any character from SNK and be happy with as well. So by that math, even if the last character sucked ass, I already got him for free, so everything is fine.

Joker was a great choice and as someone who has enjoyed Persona 3, 4 and 5 to varying degrees, I thought he was a cool addition to Smash.
Hero would be a neutral to me but I'd played DQ11 not long before then. I find him neat and he's a fun character in practice too.
Banjo alone would be worth the cost of the entire Fighters Pass for me. I fucking love Banjo Kazooie, have done since I was a kid and have replayed it once every few years and still love it to pieces. When I was playing 64/Melee I always felt he was missing and until I learned of the Rare situation, hoped he would get in some day.

They're 3/3 so far for me. The last two could be literally anything, I'm already very satisfied. If they're things I don't care about, then they're still two more Smash characters for me to enjoy. If they're things I DO care about, then great.

Every single input is registered by the game x frames later than input on the controller. If you are standing and press block on frame 0, instead of blocking on frame 1 you will block on frame x.

On an unrelated note, this smash game the developers DELIBERATELY made it so that if you set the right stick to tilts, and you tap the stick rapidly the game will flat out IGNORE your inputs. This ONLY happens for tilts, not smashes, not specials, only tilts.

Characters like ness who are able to perform a down tilt in rapid succession are literally prevented from doing so. Again, it was a deliberate choice by the developers to gimp a particular control scheme and 4 major patches later has not been fixed.

I didn't buy it because I was certain it would be terrible anime trash and maybe 1 character I might enjoy. Turns out they added the worst character in smash history with hero and another boring anime character with Joker. Banjo is the closest thing they've gotten to a character I'll enjoy. Also this game is a laggy mess. I kinda regret buying it.
