Does SA still mostly hold up? Tried playing GTA3 and Vice City and holy shit those games are antique pieces of shit. I have so many good memories with SA that I almost don't want to play it so they still hold up.I played GTA3 and VC but they pale in comparison to what I remember of SA.
I also want to go on a mini-rant to say Vice City is overrated, insanely gaudy visuals, terrible map, and shitty story (granted, none of the games have amazing stories). The only reason people pretend to like is because MUH 80s aesthetic muh vaporwave!!!!!!!
best map, most fun, most mechanics to engage with the game world, most skill in vehicles.
its the best game, gta5 is not a good game, but it looks good enough to larp in multiplayer

>The only reason people pretend to like is because the only reason people pretend to like a whiny faggot like you is that dealing with your faggy tears is too much of a headache
Austin Gutierrez
Yeah, 3 and VC were always shit
Ayden Campbell
what about gta4?
But yeah I hate GTAV it pisses me off that they had to shit on San Andres map the way they fucking did. Why couldn't they have just made up another new city? Why did they have to take the Los Santos and San Andreas name? GTAVs map is so different it really doesn't have any good reason to be connected to the previous games area like fuck.

if you get the opportunity you should consider killing yourself
Henry Hughes
4 is redundant because of 5 and the driving mechanics really ruin the game because the AI is one of the better ones in the series
Luke Allen
It's crazy how small the game is once you remove the draw distance fog
I played them all on PC back in the day when they came out, and then bought the trilogy on sale on Steam a few years ago. I played the first few missions of VC and just quit, it really hasn't aged well. But I got 145 hours in SA. It's a gem. Still haven't bothered with 3 after the VC experience.
Ethan Gutierrez
They used the terrain to slow down your driving and limited your visibility to make the map seem larger than it actually was. It's why to this day people believe SA's map and V's map are even close in size.
Carter Wilson
I think there is a bunch of mods to enhance the experience (both gameplay-wise and graphics-wise). youtube.com/watch?v=2f4APpp26Uk

How playable is SA with kb/m? I haven't played it since the PS2 days and have been considering giving it another go.
Aiden Roberts
One of my favorites. One of my favorite parts is that you play a chunk of the game in each city and you're not running around the entire map every other mission.
Colton Barnes
Very

3 and V are the best games in the series. SA is minigame cancer. What happened to the fun? Thrown in the trash in favor of meaningless, shallow mechanics like stats and gangwars. It feels so half baked.
>but it looks good enough to larp in multiplayer Do you think about what words you're typing? Larp stands for live action role play. It's not fucking live action if you're doing it in a video game. It's just role play then.
Jason Morgan
Yeah it's bad. Again it just makes me hate what they did with GTAVs map. I would've loved a remake of SA like GTA 4 got, instead we got a shitty less original LA rip off and 50% of a map filled with nothing
Isaac Walker
agreed. dont get the insane love for SA, it has the worst and dumbest missions
Thomas Diaz
Xbox 360 still used DVDs and PS3 only had 256MB of RAM

V>SA>VC>IV=III

>They used the terrain to slow down your driving and limited your visibility to make the map seem larger than it actually was >to this day people believe SA's map and V's map are even close in size See, so it worked. Morrowind has also basically a tiny island, yet it seemed absolutely huge when I played it. Pure world size isn't everything.
Things to do in San Andreas >Adds a ton of beta/cut content, new minigames, interiors, mechanics from III/VC/IV, stuff from the PS2 version, and lots of fixes - all while keeping with San Andreas' atmostphere/style community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/428-things-to-do-in-san-andreas/
SilentPatch >Many bug fixes, including making the game run at 30fps while locked (instead of 25fps) and removing input lag gtaforums.com/topic/669045-silentpatch/

san andreas is ther best gta game ever created, the series peaked there and has been downhill since after the SJW propanganda in RDR2 I don't expect gta vi to be any better DRIVING THROUGH THE DESERT ON A HORSE WITH NO NAME

This image is pretty deceiving though

>those missions for that RC geek that keeps yelling OT Star Wars quotes at you as you fend off RC planes on the roof >great kid don't get cocky! >there's an actual RTS mission inside an open-world TPS >that early 90s Pulp Fiction feel in LS >nogs doing that one stiff leg gangsta walk I love this game
Benjamin Gomez
Reminds me, I downloaded all of the radio stations for SA the other day. Includes all the songs, all the radio hots voices including voiceovers in the middle of a song. Loved the radio stations in it.
FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TOLD ME
How so?
Henry Hughes
>not liking III and VC for the arcadey gameplay The 3D universe in general feels like arcade games compared to the new shit
Just turn on v-sync in the graphics card settings and turn off frame limiter in the game
Camden Thomas
Physics get weird if you turn off the framelimiter in any of the 3D era games. Just look at , pretty much everything is off.
Christopher Allen
Well for starters it takes a bit of time to get from where they are to SF. There's also a bunch of things such as a farm, a logging camp and facories/warehouse which you can't really see in the pic. The map is smaller than it looks yes. But this pic somehow makes it seem even smaller when u can't see the details
Eli Ramirez
Oh yeah fair, the buildings and terrain are in much lower detail than normal I noticed.
Levi Smith
It's barely noticeable outside that one mission with the incoming plane
Grayson Ward
>Tried playing GTA3 and Vice City and holy shit those games are antique pieces of shit.
This games honestly play much better on KB+M. The controller lock on aiming in them is pretty ass. I liked 3 alright but VC and SA were about on par with each other, with SA having a bit more polish with its mechanics (swimming makes boats not a hilarious death trap, the shooting is a bit better, there's much more vehicle variety).
I was never the biggest GTA fan and I didn't even bother beating the games until years after their release, but you'd have to be a pretty big zoomer to cry about these games being too dated.
Luis Russell
get the SA downgraded, it has all this in one
Christian Thomas
shut the fuck up zoomie I just replayed GTA III and VC last week and they were both excellent
