I like the "realistic" approach they try since third gen. I'm a sucker for paleontology and with a bit background knowledge you see that there are some Paleo nerds working at capcom.
Designs like Brachy or Glavenus are still fine, Valstrax still okay but a bit more and we are in Frontier territory which would suck. But I have trust in the devs, they didn't fucked up and desgins recently and Namielle looks gorgeous.

Kecha Wacha is probably my favorite Monster design of all time. Let's hope that in MHW2 we will get our Pelagus and hopefully our Carapaceon bros back.

Gonna give Iceborne a 5/5. Has as much content as MHW, the subspecies are way more distinct than expected, and the surprises and pacing are top notch. You guys will be super happy, can’t wait to play with everyone

As someone whos first official game in the series was genUXX, i feel i reached the monster hunter maturity level to give my full opinion on how i feel about world!

>have completed all quest except G rank event quest cause no one ever wants to do event quest

The music is FUCKING GARBAGE!
Westernized music is boring and unmemorable compared to the happy unique music of mon gen ultimate

The ARMOR is also FUCKING GARBAGE and lacks the "pop" that mon gen U has for its armor sets.
This seems to to the use of "muh realism" bullshit and using realistic colors instead of the cartoony look of the previous gens.
All the armors in the demo just dont stand out.

The ENVIROMENTS have TO MUCH SHIT all over the place and its distracting.
It distracts the player from the main focus of a hunt: THE FUCKING MONSTER!
All the extra realistic shit in the enviroment is unnecessary clutter.

Its almost hard to see what you can and cant interact with unlike Gen U you can visibly see gathering points and things you can and cant interact with.

The sounds monsters and weapons make seem VERY TONED DOWN!
Monsters sounds seem so low comapred to Gen U and weapons almost have not feeling of imapct on hitting monsters!

I can see why old school veterans form previous gens hate this shit!

But it's not literally brute with blast. Molten has the problem that regular has in that it's moveset is charging and it spasms all across the arena while brute's trait is that it stomps around in like a half circle and has super roars.
Yes molten has a super roar but it takes a backseat to the charges and flailing.

Molten is basically regular with blast and that's why it's shit. The only people who like regular tigrex are those with a shield and those that can GS exploit the robotic turns

Regardless of whether it still feels like it to you or not, it's objectively the biggest shake up the series has ever undergone in its history. Almost every mechanic, detail and feature has been changed or tweaked in some way. You can't compare that to a game like GU that didn't really make any sweeping changes to anything, just threw some silly but wholely optional gimmicks on top.
