Isn't it nice that Nintendo is appealing to different fans around the world with the DLC characters?

SNK aren't getting a character.... at least the current "leak" doesn't point towards it. a bunch of half-finished DLC pages were added to the nintendo website at the same time and one of them was for an SNK game and had the copyright notice. Smash bros DLC pages have other copyright notices which were absent on the fighter pass #4 page. it's also unlikely that the person making the page would have the info unless the character's announcement is imminent, and now a day later we still have no info on any upcoming nintendo directs that would normally announce such a thing. besides, #3 still hasn't been released and while this doesn't make it completely silly to announce #4 it does make it unlikely that it will happen soon. what probably happened is that someone messed up and copied over the wrong copyright info onto the page, that's it.

snk machine were cheap and easy to pírate, so they become super popular in latam, in mexico they were so poular that every drug store had one.
Even after 20 years, they still quite popular ,you can still see it in some arcade stores and malls

That's a bit unfair - I mean, SNK games in general are definitely more obscure than, say, stuff made by Capcom or Square Enix or what have you. People pretending like Metal Slug or SamSho or KOF are well-known series on par with the third party representatives already in Smash are being disingenuous - it's BY FAR an order of magnitude less well-known and out-there than stuff like Mega Man, or Banjo or even Joker, nationality be damned. SNK characters are literal whos not just to Smash fans, but to the majority of gamers, and an SNK rep definitely feels like a "step down" in relevancy and popularity from giga-franchises like Dragon Quest.
