>we still have obsolete technology around from before we evolved beyond needing it
Just how fast was their evolution? The only logical sense this could make is if they kept the hooks around for non Rito to use, but even then this still trivializes the amount of time it takes for a species to evolve.
We still have obsolete technology around from before we evolved beyond needing it
>Just how fast was their evolution?
near instant.
Rito were literally born out of the Goddess(es) altering Zora's shape right after the big flood, thus making sure that no one could find the Hyrule even by accident.
It's a children's fantasy game with literal magic
But then if they evolved that quickly right after the flood, how did they maintain their technology? Furthermore, she describes it as that is what her people used, meaning either Rito or Zora. If Rito, there must have been time between the flooding and evolution, if not then Zora somehow mananged to keep such a refined creation and/or manufacturing method over the flooding.
I'd be totally willing to let it slide as magic, but an inconsistency within their own lore and universe seems much more acceptable for discussion than one compared to factors irl.
>But then if they evolved that quickly right after the flood, how did they maintain their technology?
That's EXACTLY how they maintained it:
It's not some super-ancient shit to them. More like stuff their great grandparents might've still utilized on a daily basis.
>there mustve been some time between flood and evolution
No, not necessarily. Literal gods and their magic, man.
It's a pretty blatant reference to the Longshot being found in the Water Temple
Also Rito aren't born with wings, Valoo grants them to them, so they still use the grapple
Would you?
>The only logical sense this could make is if they kept the hooks around for non Rito to use, but even then this still trivializes the amount of time it takes for a species to evolve.
We don't have a basis for a civilization that has evolved while they were able to keep records. So it's kind of hard to get a baseline for this. Either way though, it's a little crazy that a kid would know about it.
>device we used before we evolved wings
This implies that the transition from Zora to Rito was deliberate. How exactly did they do that? Was there a horrible period of dystopian eugenics were those without flying genes were sterilized? When a baby with wings was finally born did the entire race take turns raping it?
More importantly, what do the islands actually eat? We don't see much in the way of farms and the oceans are literally devoid of non monster life.
yes
but bird face doesn't get to watch
Conservation of detail, the game's already stretched super thin as it was, but we can at least verify that they eat pigs and pears.
>what do the islands actually eat?
the islands themselves?
Dragonroost still has wildlife like crab, bats, and Kargarocs, but considering their versatility and ability to travel I don't discredit imported goods such as vegetation, pork and beef. In addition, which the most likely answer is, they probably just fish.
Oh yes.
You bet I would. I bet Toon Link's little asshole is tighter than MGSV's controls.
>be fish
>world gets flooded
>become birb poopils
Why ? Did the Gorons just sink like a stone and become the new Zora ?
Gorons are still around, they're probably floaters now.
say what you will about his art and subject material, Shad is actually a based dude.
Okay but what about the fact that she clearly doesn't have wings
they morph their arms into wings at will
