Rito were literally born out of the Goddess(es) altering Zora's shape right after the big flood, thus making sure that no one could find the Hyrule even by accident.

But then if they evolved that quickly right after the flood, how did they maintain their technology? Furthermore, she describes it as that is what her people used, meaning either Rito or Zora. If Rito, there must have been time between the flooding and evolution, if not then Zora somehow mananged to keep such a refined creation and/or manufacturing method over the flooding.
I'd be totally willing to let it slide as magic, but an inconsistency within their own lore and universe seems much more acceptable for discussion than one compared to factors irl.

We don't have a basis for a civilization that has evolved while they were able to keep records. So it's kind of hard to get a baseline for this. Either way though, it's a little crazy that a kid would know about it.

This implies that the transition from Zora to Rito was deliberate. How exactly did they do that? Was there a horrible period of dystopian eugenics were those without flying genes were sterilized? When a baby with wings was finally born did the entire race take turns raping it?
