No he wasn't proven wrong. The Amaurotians were just plain better than the shattered pathetic creatures of the source. Have of Eorzea would not voluntarily sacrifice themselves to save the other half. Hydaelyns peoples continually war against each other and commit atrocities even without Ascian influence. They live brief and pathetic lives. The Amaurotians lived not only to better themselves but also the whole world. They deserve to live far more than the weak beings of the shards.

I was pretty hype, but I feel as though the finale was diminished by this idea that Emet had to be an 8-man trial. The whole of Amaurot was about how the WoL was actually an Amaurotian all along, shattered into thirteen reflections. This is built up to the point where Emet literally calls you a broken husk too weak to fight him. And then the Exarch calls for heroes from the remaining reflections, and the implication is that he's calling YOUR reflections, to combine together into a force to rival Emet, as you were in the olden days of the Source.
And then it turns out that, no, he's just calling seven random assholes to help you fight, and then you use your blessing to defeat him. I felt cheated out of my big one on one confrontation.

Do HW leveling dungeon enemies hit hard or am I imagining things? Leveling a PLD and if I so much pull two packs at a time it feels like my healers struggle to keep me alive. I'm using cooldowns and everything. Not even sure whether sometimes they tunnel-vision and dps too hard to notice my health dropping.
Sheltron also seems like a pretty underwhelming cooldown. I miss TBN.
