It has to be nako. Nobody has actually disproved the milk leak and she matches the new Japanese leak saying we are getting a kimono wearing girl. It makes more sense to get a Sam showdown character based on its release on the switch and being a more recent game, plus she would tick so many more boxes compared to Terry. Remember that the fighter pass has to be marketable to people outside just hardcore fans. Terry bogard would probably confuse or not be interesting to kids, casuals, or people who just don't know about SNK. Nako has a much more wide appeal to uninformed people just by being a young girl, kind of a weeaboo character, and then her whole fighting gimmick being pretty unique compared to the rest of the cast. She has far more potential as a character than Terry and I think it would be a huge missed opportunity if they just went with Terry over her. Of course this is Sakurai were talking about and he's known for making weird-ass choices and sticking to the protagonist over anything else, so we probably will just get Terry and most of us will be disappointed. Who knows. It also depends if that female who disappoints people leak is real, which I'm leaning maybe. Nako fits that bill

Just remember also that sakurai did mention King of fighters interview as an inspiration to him. So that is a point towards kind of any SNK character, but also maybe that we will get spirits for characters across the company regardless of who the representative is. SNK is known for their crossovers so it would make sense that even if Terry or Kyo or somebody is playable, characters from other series would pop up as spirits

SamSho was very popular back in the day, it fills a niche incredibly well but through SNK bankruptcies fell by the wayside. In a time of very aggressive fighters and simplification done poorly, it offers an extremely slow neutral focused game that manages to be easy to play while maintaining depth. Despite the slow nature it still has absolutely crazy shit happening because mechanically it is just a really interesting series.
