WoW classic was never going to be as good as vanilla WoW. the two main reasons are, vanilla WoW was a brand new type of game in 2001. The second reason is modern culture, in 2001 streaming wasn't a thing. Yes there were people who recorded video of some of the stuff they did, but it was reserved for raids or large scale endeavors. Now everyone just wants to jump on the bandwagon of whats popular.
