Book fan here. Picked up the Last Wish by coincidence at a book store before I even played the first game, then read all of them (the last two in fan translations for the first time) before even starting Witcher 1.

Of course I read the books after playing the games so I naturally have the game imagine in my head while reading but you still see some major differences on how a character acts here and there, and how they look, even Geralt is portrait very different, he's not a superhero that solves every problem and for me there's one exception that I think CDPR did a fantastic job adapting her that it's Yennefer, while reading I imagine this exact character, her face, her looks, her voice is so fucking on point
