Jak and Daxter

2 is a bad mix of gta and ratchet. not only did they take a massive shit on the lore and world that was setup in the first game, but it controls like shit and despite releasing after ratchet 1, learned nothing from the gunplay and repeated the same mistakes. missable precursor orbs too

Jak and Daxter is my favourite PS2 game right behind Twisted Metal.
I think Sanzaru should make Jak 4. Sly 4 was pretty good. Naughty Dog can't make fun games anymore. The last one they made was Jak 3.

The mystery villain of 3 should have been Gol, the villain from the first game, instead of Errol.

Did anyone else make up autistic stories and role-play as a kid playing 2 and 3? I had fun wreaking utter carnage on all of the unfortunate Krimson Guards and citizens of Haven City as the Dark Giant and then retreating into levels outside the city like I was a wanted criminal. Doing all of this and then watching the part in 3 where Jak feels betrayed by the people of Haven City for exiling him to the desert on the basis that he's dangerous was pretty funny.

i wouldnt mind a remake that had a strafe button from ratchet 2. you know the guns are kinda bad when the best strat is jump and do the shooty spin move to clear the whole room

You don't need that in Jak and Daxter, the best platformer on PS2.

1 is perfect, and im fine with the ps3 remaster for that one. but 2 and 3 i wouldnt revisit unless it had the bad aspects fixed

I still love Jak 2. It has the funniest cutscenes. see: Jak 3 was more fun to play though.

I still don't get why people say that Jak 2 is more "dull" in comparison to 1 when it's ten times more expressive and funny in every way.
Yes the world and tone of 2 is more edgy but the whole package just has more soul.
