I think I actually had more fun with DmC than DMC4. I just think back to Dante's part in DMC4 and remember how pathetically paced and piss easy it was, DmC was a far better designed campaign.
DMC5 are better than both, though, swapping between characters throughout the game worked better though I still wish there was a "play as one guy through the whole thing" option after beating it once.

No, it's obvious after reading dev interviews that Kamiya can be pretty retarded as well. DMC1 would've been terrible with QTEs and no jumping like he wanted. Putting all the praise for a game onto one person is dumb anyway, a team of multiple people worked together to make it. Has Kamiya put microtransactions in his latest game or something?

Other way around lad. The fanbase stopped giving a shit entirely when DMC4:SE came out and DMC5 was announced. The 5 people who played DmC couldn't handle DMC5 and still try to shit on it even now especially with DMC5 outselling DmC's lifetime sales in the first week.
