Act I with Paul's commentary was genuinely great. Unfortunately, the series is falling into all of the same fucking mistakes Marble Hornets made. It started off as a simple series with eerie undertones and a mystery, but now it's just adding more and more bullshit layers of complexity without answering any questions.

You need to be careful with shit like this. Establish your overarching mystery first and add in arcs on your way to the finale. Don't make something complex and mysterious for the sake of it being complex and mysterious, ESPECIALLY if the entire background of your project is a complete mystery. No communicating with the viewers or letting anyone know who you are. There's no way to know if anyone is getting close to figuring anything out, and it times it honestly feels like they move the plot in directions in direct response to how the community is interpreting the episodes. There's still so much shit from the first set of episodes that is unanswered as well as tons of little shit in the background like the symbols all over the calendar that no one in the community has a good theory on.

I want to like Petscop, but it feels like it's asking me to wait years before we'll ever have a conclusion. It's ALREADY been years. I can't take another Marble Hornets. Fortunately for whoever is making this, it's original as fuck. The PS1 aesthetic is amazingly done. I can't stop watching, but I have to admit I'm not invested anymore. I'm just waiting for it to end.

They revealed what was censored in one of the recent episodes. I'm pretty sure it was in episode 20. Starting at 8 minutes in, Paul is in a room with some items on pedestals. Those are the things that were censored. They match the descriptions of the things they said they were going to censor.

Explain

Some guy named Paul finds an old game and uploads videos on youtube to show it to a friend. The game turns out to be really weird and seems to have a life on it's own. Events in the game seem to have some kind of connection to Paul and his family. Later, Paul appearently gets forced to play the game by people who took over the channel.

The game console seems to be turned on for like 17 years already and was never shut down. Also the game is being used to recreate the steps of a child that got lost years ago.

Newest episodes revealed that Paul was actually locked in a room by someone. Said room can be seen in Petscop 16.

Also some super weird ritual happens that needs 1000 pieces of something, "a baby", a weird big machine, and music.

The music also needs to be played by Paul. Paul intentionally fucks up and Marvin panics for whatever reason.

It's implied that the machine would help rebirth Care or something similar. Tiara was there too but kept quiet, so I'm guessing she was gonna be the host?
