I'm on file 4 in the city and I still feel like I haven't started the game yet. Cutscenes/story is horrible, but thankfully skippable. Any gameplay besides combat is very tedious.

Also is it explained why I don't give the other Legions back to the other officers? They seemed pretty bummed out about it and I'm just running around with theirs like a one man army.

AC is different enough from other Platinum games that it definitely takes some getting used to the mechanics before you can S rank regularly. It's a very unique experience.

To each their own, but these are what make the game for me. This is clearly Platinum trying to make a mainstream action adventure "experience," and the note taking, minigames, and item hunting are just better versions of the fluff you'd get in a GTA or Uncharted.

Also, any tips for the combat? I'm having trouble moving me and my legion at the same time in order to wrap the chain around enemies.

Just get used to it, practice in HQ. Also, you will eventually unlock Legion skill that binds all nearby enemies and can utilize it while sipping limiter energy consumables if you keep struggling

it gets easier as time goes on, and now your on file 3 your combos shouldn't be truncated and you should have access to sync moves.

Things just get better. In terms of moving your legion in combat, controlling it's every move isn't really the goal. Once you master launching it at enemies and give it the auto-chain skill you'll be able to focus more on sync attacks and dodging.

Why did they make it so you can do a sync attack out of a perfect dodge but still let the enemies smack you in the middle of the animation? I can't count how many times I hit ZL with the right timing only to leap up in the air and get slapped by a free hit.

Why does the lock-on not go to whatever is in the center of your screen that you're aiming at but instead just spin around at pin whatever enemy is closest to you? I've tried locking on to the single enemy on my screen only to have the camera spin 180 degrees and look at some fucker behind me.

Why can enemies attack from off screen without audio or visual ques? Action games solved this shit years ago. I really want to like this game but shit like the shoddy camera is making it difficult.

You'll find a playstyle you're comfortable with as you unlock more and more stuff. A lot of stuff is viable. I find myself favoring the Arrow Legion and playing the game like a shooter.

I'd say its more because it was made on a shoestring budget and re-uses most of the assets over and over again. Still a fun game, but it feels really cheap overall. I'd also argue it's because of the short development cycle, it feels like it was only a couple months since it was even announced.

12 is a special chapter. When you cancel out of the file select menu it will let you return to where you left off in 12.

there's a fuckton of color options, and almost everything has its own color choice in the palettes. Head accesories complement the rest of your outfit options. It's actually really good, but obviously not if you're looking for a big variety of clothes.

There's a hermit and skull holo-mask in case 3. Go to case 3, and as soon as it starts, head to the ladder qith the robotic arm, don't go up the ladder but keep an eye out for a garage door as you continue through the alley. Eventually you'll find one that's holographic and will lead you into a room with 2 hermits, one of which will sell you the two masks at 80,000 per.

effect spread means the effect still works even if the legion isn't summoned, damage +5% only works if legion is out but the effect stays if it has effect spread
having the legion out boosts your stats, sync keep allows you to keep these even without legion, you even retain super saiyan hair

dodging in this game isn't supposed to be the prime defensive option, it's not bayo or tw101, you have quite a few other ways to defend yourself (perfect calls, riding the beast legion, chain jumping to your legion, axe legion's shield) use these

I think my game was bugged for the longest time. My inventory said I only had 1 medicine, but then I'd take that medicine and the number would still be at 1. This happened, without fail, all the way up to file 7. I don't think it fixed itself until I mess around with the options to put a turret on the item quick-select.

If you discover medicine in missions, it's put to your field supply and you automatically use them without using your actually owned medicine.

You can always redo them. If you're in file 12, just go to the PC near Olive and select file. You can also choose which main checkpoint to start from and abort as soon as you have what you want. If you cancel out of file select from that point, you can return to 12.

I have no clue how to get S+ in that fight because you don't get any points from anything you can do in that form. Even after winning without getting hit I only got a B rank.

Well I did it now. This really seems to be the only way to do it. I think this is the only boss in the game that absolutely requires the no damage bonus and a fast time. I highly doubt that people just casually did this on their first try and then forgot all about how they got it.

I beat the game and just used salvage to sell in order to afford upgrades and I think thats its only real use.

Axe Legion is neat because of just how different its general feel is from the other ones. Really wish I could better differentiate when to use sword versus arm because the two have a lot of overlap and Arm just seems better than sword in general.

I know Plat hasn't really done that too much with Bayonetta or W101 but they did do it for NierA.
