Pretty sure Nakoruru has an air grab, and you can't break grabs in SamSho so it is basically a command grab. You really need to accept that Mai is on the lower rungs of likely characters. When you have to resort to they have stylish combos, like everyone in KoF, you should just give up. Terry if the most likely, then Kyo and then Nakoruru.

Kyo's popularity is kind of odd, cause depending on the day he seems to be extremely popular beating a lot of characters in polls or overshadowed. But he is the original KoF protag and unlike a lot of big name SNK characters hasn't had a crossover recently. For SNK to pass up on him for Mai in this case would seem weird, she's a secondary character in FF never mind KoF. The more I think about it Terry just seems the most likely, even if Nakoruru would be more interesting. Least he might get max mode so ultimate would finally have combos.

I usually play Athena so I would love her to get in, but SNK just getting recognition at all is nice. SNK fans tend to love all the franchises anyway, the idea of a new world heroes is exciting. SNK needs a smash clone, too many of their characters would work so well.
