It and Mooncrash are immensely rewarding.

Yep. Arkane makes some good games. Prey and Dishonored 1 and 2 kick ass. The only issue with the games is that you're given a ton of options, but there's a specific way of playing that's just better and it's usually not as fun / doesn't utilize all the tools - but there's no real solution to that. It's up to you whether or not you want to play the game in a lame way or a fun way.
One of the coolest things about it is all the different ways you can get into an area. Early on, there's an entrance into an area (I think Human Resources) blocked by big crate things. You can
>mimic a small object and slide in
>lift it if you have the strength
>blow it away with a gas tank
>recycle the crates if you have a recycle charge
>etc.
It's a game of options. Very smooth movement. I highly recommend it. Only real flaw I can think of is that the ending segment of the game overpopulates the game with enemies, and some of the immersion is lost.
Lots of backtracking, too, which is fine with me (because it reminds me of Metroid) but that might be a con for specific people.

Yes, buy it. Don't forget Mooncrash.

>Only real flaw I can think of is that the ending segment of the game overpopulates the game with enemies

This and also giving you a free mimic detector really close to the beginning of the game. Took all the tension out of exploring

Ahh, right. Again, it's a matter of playing the lame way or the fun way. They could've made it more difficult to get that ability, but it's up to the player if they want to use it. Same with hacking. You can bypass a lot of hacking checks if you're smart and look around / use tools, but it's up to the player if they want to go the lame route and just learn how to hack.
I love the game. I should replay it soon. I just play Dishonored 2 and it was godlike. I never tried Mooncrash, and I've heard great things.

Oh yeah, definitely. Worst thing is that Arkane seems to ALWAYS narratively penalize playing the fun way.
>You're an assassin
>Oh no you killed the people who murdered your wife and tried to kill your daughter, hope you like seeing the city burn lol
>You have access to alien psychic powers
>If you use them guess you're a monster and we euthanize you lol

I get making a "good end" difficult but you shouldn't make it literally less fun to play by removing 80% of your kit

Agreed, but it only really matters on the first playthrough. I've played Souls games so much that I view the games just as functions to provide me fun. Narrative doesn't matter. I just kill NPCs for their clothes and spells now. Same way I feel about Dishonored and Prey. High chaos / Typhon playthroughs are more fun, so I'll do that and just ignore the story. Unless it's been a really long time and I actually want to be immersed.

>If you use them guess you're a monster and we euthanize you lol
This isn't true, as long as you save the crew they let you live. I just did a run getting only ayy powers and it was fine

>You have access to alien psychic powers
>If you use them guess you're a monster and we euthanize you lol
What? They wanted you to use those powers because you are a hybrid. If you save most people and don't try to escape the station they still judge you a success.

My mistake, I didn't know the threshold for the bad end and figured it played way more heavily into it since January is constantly warning you not to do it

Yeah in subsequent playthroughs it's a lot better. It's just annoying because unless you're speedrunning it your first run takes quite a while

On discount. Then again I buy most of my games on deep discount.

yes

Yes
System Shock 2 with better area transversal and less getting stuck because you spec'd into the wrong tree

Only on a sale.
It's kinda good, but it's too stretched out with quite a little amount of content. The first part (approximately up untill you make it to Aboretum) if good, but after that there little more to see.
Enemies are all the same, resources are plentiful, no new guns (except the golden one) and only boring shit ahead.

yes, best game of 2017 for me

Is the combat fun?

MoonCrash is great

It's pretty satisfying but really easy. Stealth, GLOO Cannon to freeze, then Shotgun/Pistol dump into most enemies.
Psychic enemies you through a stun grenade into first

This.

Don’t do what I did and restart the game every time you think you fucked up. There’s so many options you’re going to constantly wish you made another decision but just go with it.

Sadly I never finished the game. Don’t think I could pick it up again.

Good job ruining the game for yourself you autistic piece of shit

I went in completely blind and was really pleasantly surprised. Haven't tried the DLC

Well.... thanks?

You know what, fuck you im gonna play it again.
