The atmosphere and world are amazing and the puppetry on the Skeksis and the Mystics is great and the overarching story involving them is pretty cool, but the dialogue is atrocious and Jen and Kira are such flat, boring characters, and they look creepy as fuck.

honestly, I watched the movie when I was a kid and the hippy elders Vs evil monster already looked dumb to me. And the innocent-looking humanoids also looked to dumb and creepy to me.
