Are you serious? UMVC3 shits on everything but MVC2.
Man. I don't get why Capcom won't put out another amazing roster like this
MVCI > UMVC3
If your a graphicsfag or a rosterfag, you're part of the problem.
Why hasn't anyone modded in party mode to MvCI or UMvC3? That shit is tight in DBFZ.
>UMvC3
>Terribly designed but in a ridiculous over the top fun way that embraces it
>MvCI
>Terribly designed but in a boring way because of "Functions", esports and trying to appeal to casual players
UMvC3 any day.
but why play a game if your favorites arn't there?
Disney.
UMvC3 > MvCi
assets require time and money. The only reason Marvel 2 came away with such a huge cast is because it's a hodgepodge of mismatched sprites held together with chewing gum and bits of string. If Capcom had just built off of UMVC3 instead of starting over again, we might have had a similarly nice roster by now.
Hell, why DIDN'T they just build off of UMVC3? That way, we don't lose out on characters people like, Marvel can have their shill picks, and we might have even gotten more nice characters out of it.
Because the gameplay is fun
Blame Disney and the other companies that hold rights to different brands
>Mahvelfags
>inb4ing your own post
You replied to it.
The first one
>rosterfags are bad
so apparently caring about the characters in a FIGHTING GAME means im part of the problem
thanks Yea Forumseddit
>fanservice game has shit roster
>durrr rosterfag
UMvC3 had the best roster and Infinite couldn't even get that right with returning characters
Unironically their just functions, you can find new favorites to replace your old ones. BTW Reddit cares more about the graphics/roster than anything else in fighting games.
If I wanted a fanservice game, I would just replay Ultimate Alliance/X-Men Legends.
Because they would mean having xmen in the game and at the time everybody needed to be punished because those assholes at Fox wouldn't just give up movie rights they legally paid for.
>All those cool and under-utilized characters mixed with fan favorites
>Now we just get MCU shit
Fuck Disney so goddamn much
>you can find new favorites to replace your old ones.
dont fix what isnt broken
What's the largest roster a 3D fighting game has had?
If you had a return of every character you'd have a roster of 90+ chars.
UMvC3 by a mile. It isn't even a contest. Better roster, better stages, better modes, better art direction.
I would have taken a follow up to Ultimate over them limping to the barn with Infinite. Literally just add all the Infinite characters like X and Black Panther to Ultimate and do some balance tweaks
>a rosterfag, you're part of the problem.
Wanting a good roster for a fighting game is a problem? Please explain your logic.
Which ones were unknowns (beyond the OCs) during the time the game came out?
Would like Magik I guess but not sure what other oddballs from Marvel's side to throw in.
Things from dead series like Asura's Wrath, Godhand and others make decent curveballs on the capcom side.
From what I heard Disney caused a lot of development hell for MvC. Capcom probably has enough good characters under their belt to make a good fighting game without relying on Third Parties.
I replace what isn't there anymore
You mean MvCI? I'm sure there are a fuckton of characters that they could have used
According to this marvel.fandom.com
I don't mind people who want to continue to play their favorites, but rather people who preemptively drop games when they aren't.
Meant in MvC2 and MvC.
Comics were fairly popular in the 90s, not sure what was popular then, and whether those picks that seem obscure today were hot in the past.
To be fair, like 1/3rd of the roster was clones or heavily reused other sprites from other characters with some edits.
>do any of those characters have a movie or well rated tv show currently airing?
>no then we are blocking you from using them
that's exactly how meetings went. they even dropped the idea of luke cage because the TV show was flopping.
2 was the last good one. Tats vs was almost as good.
3 and infinite sucked.
MvC3 is a solved piece of shit
They did, the reason we even had X-Men characters in MVC3 was due to efforts from Sven, Combofiend and Seth Killian convincing the heads at Marvel that X-Menless MVC would generate a loss. And even then, they had only limited towards a handful of characters (like Wolverine) before they eventually managed to get Storm, Sentinel, Phoenix and X-23. They still didn't allow for Juggernaut, Blade and Human Torch (who was replaced with Super Skrull)
There were leaks suggesting that more chars were to come before support for the game was canned. Those included:
>Kamala Khan
>Old Man Logan
>Gene
>Vergil
>Amaterasu
If base mvc3 then mvci is better.
If UMVC3 , mvci is shit and worse in all ways except netcode being superior. Original MVC3 lobbies did not even have SPECTATING.
>Kamala Khan
You've got to be fucking kidding me
Isn't she fairly popular these days, or is it just a bunch of people shilling because of diversity points or whatever?
What's wrong with Kamala?
She's the only legacy character worth a shit
>UMVC3
SOUL
>MVCI
SOULLESS
Her comics sell like shit, she's just being pushed for good goy points and pandering
Won't lie, MvCi had some really good gameplay. And good netcode.
>>Gene
fuck
Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider was based, a shame Marvel shanked the character
She's reasonably well like all around, even among people who both hated Marvel SJW pandering and inHumans push. The only reason her standalone comic is in a slump is because Marvel keeps on using her for crossover events, thus her own series keeps on getting derailed.
Don't talk shit about the brown QT!
I would sell my soul for a game with Tradd Moore's art
Waifufags are menatlly ill
