This past decade had a few good games that were overshadowed by the hit game of that year.

Because video games are fun and 95% of them were always shit and you always had to be careful about what you bought.

I know there's gonna be a time when consoles require always online that you will also have to pay. Games will be modeled after the mobile industry's design, and everything will have politics up its ass.

That's when I'll stop buying new games, and I know it'll be sooner than later. Maybe I'll get to the point of quitting games altogether, which would improve my life.

The older you get, the more games you've gotten under your belt, the more difficult it is to enjoy average games. Even above average games can feel very blah if they're completely derivative of a game you've played before (and especially if that game was better)
