Me.
Things i'm worried about
>constant slow-mo when dodging attacks or slashing enemies
>zombies are not in the open world during the day time but are condemned to the indoor areas with shade (see tweet below)
>human enemies are the major enemy
>increased focus on the narrative and "choices"
That said, I do like the open world being a lot larger and such, but I better see as much zombies in the day time like there were in The Following.
Ooops, forgot the tweet
very, I wish it was coming out sooner
The human enemies were some of the weakest parts of DL1. I saw the gameplay trailer for DL2 and it looks like there's going to be even more conflicts with other humans.
Not excited for that.
Maybe there are enough new combat abilities and mechanics to make it interesting
hopefully it's good, Dying Light was its year GOTY to me
A little. The first game is something I expected to be shit and it turned out to be fun to play through.
I like how those two tanks showed up and the main character literally REEEEE'd and screeched like a /r9k/ autist. DLC was good.
It looks like the first but better in every way. I have a feeling that it will be delayed though.
Did anyone play Dying Light at release? Was it janky as hell? That's the main thing I'm worried about 2. I want to get it as soon as it comes out, but a lot of the reviews for DL1 said it was buggy as hell at release.
It wasn't game-breakingly buggy on release.
I hope there is no grappling hook unless its only good for getting on a rooftop before a long cooldown. After you got the grappling hook in 1 it was pretty much goodbye parkour and hello grappling spam.
I am, not. But I hope you all enjoy it
Sort of
I don't like the fact that the zombies have been downgraded to side characters. the fact that the new protag sounds exactly the same as the old one is also weird, the fuck is up with that?
Half-way interested in DL 2. Hated Dead Island and don't understand why they kept running with it, but they got something right with DL.
Wasn't janky, but it's playable out of the box like most Techland releases.
>new protag sounds exactly like the old one
thats because they are the same
theres a big plot point where when night falls you will revert to hunter unless you take some medicine
big if true.
different guy sadly he just sounds like cranes va and they reused the grunts for now
Crane was such a shit character as a matter of fact every character in DL was complete shit and any that could have been interesting like Brecken get like 2 fucking lines and no development at all
I played through in basically two sittings and only fell through the world once.
The zombies and survivors on the other hand...
>they do the dead island thing, where they just stand there staring emptily into the distance
but when i played through again with a friend the only thing i noticed was the infected seemed fucking OP low level but become trivial as soon as you get drop kick
i just wanna beat up zombies again, i love dead islands combat system so much, and they tweaked it even better with dying light
yeah, everyone's a fucking idiot, i really hate all of the story after playing through more then once
>have to nuke yourself for the good ending
fuck you guys, i knew you werent going to give it to me but a fucking cutscene+nuke is trash
>bad end is a fucking bossfight with your zombie claws
so much better
I'm worrying about sponge enemies
Wasn't zombies staring into the distance an intentional occurrence during sundown?
I think what they need to do to fix that is to make all weapons useful instead of tiers making a huge difference for damage. I like the idea of picking up random weapons in the environment and actually being able to rely on them. I would feel more comfortable throwing them as well compared to weapons I crafted.
