Oh man it definitely was. When you encounter this character arc that made you fight every boss you've played, made you fight YOURSELF, then basically a demon version of yourself that ended up becoming bros with you. Really was the coolest shit ever.

PSP version seems to be more updated than Gamecube. Apparently you only get Dante from the Devil May Cry series™ on the PSP version. It comes with a trial mode that has a bunch of mini-games, and game sharing for people who want to do multiplayer with one copy of the game. But that's about it.
