Your thumb can reach most of the numbers and most of the second and third row with ease, without having to move your three off of WAZ for movement, your pinky can also use alt or spacebar.
This is how I've been playing PC games for years. This is the best way to play PC games.
i play with ESDF instead of WASD as it gives me more keys to work with and doesn't force me squashed down one end of a keyboard while wasting the other half, and i thought i was a weirdo but this is something else
Lucas Jackson
Have to bend my middle finger in an uncofmortable position and most fingers are way too close to one another, arm position is also not great. Overall it's far from perfect, but honestly I thought it would be way more discomfortable. Also, another negative is randomly clicking other keys with your palm.
William Perry
I actually play with my keyboard almost 90 degrees rotated, it's more like 70 degrees, super diagonal
David Thomas
>TFW you WASD place at your normal wagecuck office job
my arm/elbow is resting on the table to the side and I never have rested my palms on the table or any other part of the keyboard, so not a problem for me.
It's much more comfortable than WASD or ESDF, I'll give you that. Personally, I would use Q34T, and use the bottom row of letters in place of the numbers with quick access using my thumb, then I wouldn't have to take my fingers off the movement keys.
Asher Bell
Your wrist is still on half the keyboard.
Mason Evans
I don't rest my wrist on the keyboard, all the weight is on my elbow.
Bentley Campbell
>having to work on labor day
whew lad my office job isnt that great but it's not that fucked
I naturally do that to every keyboard ever now no matter what. Fuck my gay teachers who told me I gotta "stay on the home keys user". Yeah well suck my dick your class was boring and our games sucked.
Aaron Richardson
I could see this kind of keyboard working as a standalone from the normal keyboards out there. Just nix the Numpad (because who really uses that for anything other than computing or accounting), slap on an aesthetically pleasing "gamer" setup, and we're gucci.
OP here, you guys do realize my hand isn't flat on the keyboard....
Connor Brown
>I don't rest my wrist on the keyboard, all the weight is on my elbow. rip in peace

Your ring finger is supposed to be longer than index, unless you have low testosterone.

>spent most of my childhood/teen years playing RTYG because of some weird ass config my pirated doom copy came with >got used to WASD when LAN places started being a thing out of fucking lazyness in retrospect, I don't really miss those days
>no stick I would imagine you'd just ditch the one of the hands for a mouse. You still have 25 keys at one hand, with zero finger-reaching required, and a fan-cooled palm rest. needs you to re-position your fingers, no cooling, and only 23-24 inputs, though using a stick over WASD has both pros and cons (better control over movement speed, worse precision for perfect-straight or 45° angle movement).
Lincoln Myers
Fuck you, our pinkies aren't that big.
Ian Long
I'm a very petite woman with my pinky being 5.3cm short (Yes, I measured it sans finger nail) and yet I have been using ESDF movement instead of WASD for almost a decade now.
Whenever I tell people I use ESDF on all PC games I play, people get really agitated and tell me ESDF sucks. The main reason is always "You can't reach shift/ctrl/tab" which is bullshit because if I can with my small child-like hand and short fingers, other people, especially men can do it. ESDF opens up QAW and TY(Z)H to use as inputs which is incredibly useful. WASD is very limiting because you only have Q and TG available without having to move your hand away from the movement keys.
Pic is my hand on my laptop keyboard (sorry, I don't own the best phones with a good camera), but I can also reach ctlr/shift/tab on regular bigger keyboards as well with ease because they were designed to be reachable for the 10-finger typing method.
Have people that are against ESDF movement even tried playing games with ESDF? Why do you prefer the inferior WASD movement?
This looked retarded but I tried it out anyway and there really is something to it. I had my thumb over the space bar, and my pinky on the numbers. You can slide the hand up and down to your preference; my pinky hovers between 6 and 7. Apparently people thought WASD was retarded until some guy dominated in Doom or Quake tournaments or whateverthefuck the game was.
>those knuckles and nail width >woman I know a fucking man hand when I see one, nice try tranny fag.
Gabriel Collins
you have fat fingers
Kayden Garcia
This would actually be better for lefties since your thumb rests on the spacebar the same as normal. I'd unironically see my self using it if I didn't have to unbind all the keys where my arm would rest and if I didn't have a laptop
Joseph Walker
OP here. I rotate my keyboard the other way because I prefer having access to a lot of keys with my thumb. Give it a try.

this looks painful, and is definitely bad for your carpals
Aiden Anderson
OP here. I tried it the other way. It's not bad. Thumb resting on space bar and I can still access two rows of keys. I'll give this a try tomorrow.
Levi Anderson
There are no games in which having these few extra bindings matter unless you play subhuman shit like mobas or mmos. And if you're at that point, just get a fucking mouse with multiple buttons.
Logan Ross
Thumb on space bar is more natural to me since that's where I place it with WASD too.
Luis Brown
>carpals
I mean, it feels fine, no pain. What should I be doing differently?
Kevin Green
>having to keep your wrist raised whenever you play >or having to rest your hand on your keyboard keys >or bending your wrist awkwardly for hours >turning the keyboard 90 degrees whenever you stop playing to type >spacebar is awful to use No way
i'm over 6ft and even my fingers begin to hurt when trying to reach ctrl this way, you must be masochistic or enjoy doing things just to be obtuse
Jaxon Rogers
i literally cannot type with my right hand. i just never use it for precise dexterity. i play guitar so my right hand is strumming, i write left handed, and ive using wasd so long that my right hand is in the dust with no hope of catching up. i do 6 finger typing and it fucking works
Benjamin Sanders
wtf? youre supposed to be using your wrist and forearm for hitting more keys you retard.

How stupid

Are you fags so bad with your hands that you can't use 1-0 and F1-F12? Lmao, no dexterity I bet y'all suck at piano too HAHAHA plebs
Isaiah Morgan
In OPs pic you can keep your fingers on direction keys while pressing 1-0 and F1-F12. Can you press these without your fingers leaving WASD or ESDF?
