If you somehow like the story... Well, in the last episode there's all of ten minutes of gameplay, I guess.

Developer had no faith in the game, had no idea why people liked it and therefore couldn't outline a decent direction to take it.
The company had a hugbox mentality that prevented them to ever acknowledge criticism, with the resulting silent kill of any competitive or hardcore mode where balance is important.
Lastly, the developer was too lazy to capitalise on the casual players and instead of giving them what they wanted (expansions), opted to make the bare minimum to get a steady income (the so-called living world).

God I regret all the time I spent on GW2, it just all felt so pointless. Swapping to FF14 was the single most fun decision I ever made.

Also a special fuck you to whoever thought that players who bought HoT shouldn't get anything of actual value when it started being included with PoF. Surely a glider and a single shitty cheap cosmetic was worth however much it cost back when i bought HoT.

It's worse actually, the living story is now a "saga" which means it won't bridge the gap between expansions but it will be the only kind of content we get until maintenance mode.
Nothing was announced with regard to other modes (just some easymode raids), guild content (even though they released some new guild emblems last week)or elite specialisations. New masteries based on the norn spirits and that's it.
No indication as to how many episodes, how frequently they will release, whether they will come with a new legendary weapons lineup.
Game is basically in pre-maintenance with the single player campaign being set as a bait to get new gullible players.

Go to PvP area to try your class at max level.
When levelling, ignore heart quests and do events instead.
Your race doesn't matter but smaller ones are best suited for precise jumps.

It's surprising that most of the lewd art of Asuras stay relatively on-model. Most other races will eventually get fanart with exagerated proportions, hourglass figures and shapely assets when they're flat as board but most of the Asura fanart stays true to the in-game look. Really sells how they'd be easy to handle.

It's funny you mention this, since some slav did a DX12 wrapper plugin that actually improves the game performance dramatically. It started off quite rough, but last I played a few months ago it was quite polished. On my machine, it never crashed and in the more populated zones the FPS count went from 10-15 to 40-50, with no visible graphical glitches.

And Anet, as far as I know, never even acknowledged that this exists, never asked the developer if he wanted to come on board, never approached him in any way. I remember liking GW2 starting out, but after getting 100% map completion there was nothing to do so I quit. The super adventure box thing or whatever it was called was fun, they should've added a lot more shit like that. Doing dungeons or world events felt completely pointless and wasn't very fun due to no holy trinity.

After getting nerfed a third time, I decided I didn't want to restat my Chrono and learn another rotation, so he just sits there and I only play him when I want to farm Winter berries.

I was in your seat, but I still love Chrono, so I put toghether some diviner gear and learned the class anew. It's still more fun than everything else for fractals, despite the nerfs.

Supposedly one of the devs took issue with the popularity of minigames over Living World stuff, and pushed to keep them to a minimum.

I have every class sitting at 150 AR, so I can play whatever I feel like in Fractals.
I like thief the most since it's incredibly easy, but I find myself playing druid more than anything since most groups looking for just 1 person are usually looking for a healer.

They were lay off because Anet was dicking around too much. They were spending lots of money on projects that has nothing to do with GW 2, and they got that money from all the money made from GW 2. Little money was going into GW 2. NCsoft had enough of that shit and told to layoff or suffer giant consequence.

I really enjoyed GW2 at release. It was missing some stuff, but I figured they could iron it out with expansion content. New dungeons, more fashion wars endgame, open world bosses, classes, maybe those bird people. Etc.

It took 2+ years for the first one to arrive.

The game would be in a much better place if that's what they focused on, instead of shitty living world content droughts for years on end.
