You can jump back to the beginning to refill on SP any time for free. The only limiter is getting sick which doesn't happen unless you don't get sleep or grind really hard.

That's hardly an issue since you can have 12 Personas at once and medical supplies are pretty inexpensive. I'd just farm shitty weapons and money in Tartarus to sell at Paulownia Mall and stock up, then use that after battles instead of spending SP casting Media/Diahran. There's also two social links you can do at night, plus raise stats for the other links.

This too. It was always really nice getting to one of those checkpoints before a guardian and warping back to the lobby for a second to heal and save before heading back up to fight it. And then you can always do Elizabeth's requests and sweeps of Tartarus to look for rare chests and gold shadow floors for Nihil weapons and rare vendor trash.
