I stopped playing World after deviljho released, and coming back now and looking at all my bullshit is disgusting. All the poorly made armor loadouts that I never deleted, too many unupgraded weapons and poorly selected augments, shit tons of extraneous armor pieces that I don't use for anything. Having to deal with sorting through all of it on top of dealing with the new quests that I haven't completed makes me want to not play at all. Tempted to just sell everything I own in game and start over from the beginning of HR fresh.

Can this general tell me why MonHun fans celebrate recolors? They are shunned by pretty much every other video gaming community I've seen. I mean, people generally look past one or two; they don't like it, but they tolerate it. The extent this series tries to bloat its lineup is just on another level though.

Imagine if every second boss in Dark Souls had a recolored version with some slight alterations. White Gaping Dragon, Purple Moonlight Butterfly, Red Taurus Demon, Azure Capra Demon etc. Or if Doom had Blue Bull Demon, Black Cacodemon and Gold Baron. Because on a scale of 1 to 10, other games is at most an 8 bossfight with the average being 4, while MH bosses are consistent 5-6 with the occasional 9-10 fights
You get a pass from me if you can surpass MH in bossfight quality, and that's a very high bar to achieve.
Sekiro did it but the roster is so small that during NG+8 i got bored with perfect parrying their whole movesets

It's not a binary choice. They add new monsters and tweak existing ones to be different and more challenging.
It's like in games where you challenge a boss again and they add stuff to their moveset. It's just efficient use of assets.

Because the recolors shown off so far are more than just reskins, they have different mechanics and movesets that sets it apart from the original monster without completely dismissing it.
There's also the fact that even the worst subspecies they've shown off so far have more effort put into them than even the best subs of the previous mh games, and the reskins in those games were already better than most games in general.

The world update with iceborne content is the 5th as well as the key to unlock the content which is 8 mb

These are not nu-GoW tier reuse of bosses retard. The fight are actually pretty different with new moves and AI behavior like Azure Rath vs Normal Rath, normal Rath will stay grounded about 50% of the fight while Azure will fuck you up from the air 99% of the fight with new moves and pattern.
Not even gonna go into how G rank adds even more moves to these monsters in both their base version and sub specie and makes the AI even more aggressive.

I think only the two diablos have a variation where one tosses the other and its random. Mind you, turf wars do fixed damage (10% of max hp but can't hit zero), and monsters that are clearly above other monsters don't take damage from turf wars with them. So if both monsters take damage, even if one "wins" they aren't all that different in strength. Whereas the ones who don't take damage are curbstomping.

Played the beta a few minutes ago. I may be wrong about this, but it seems they changed a few things about Nargacuga compared to the one in the previous beta: no longer gets stuck for an hour after a tail/double tail slam and when it goes to sleep it doesn't block your path anymore.

Well I usually carry basic shit with me, potions, steaks, etc. Mostly stuff I've always brought with me habitually since PS2.

Only difference between either is if I carry traps or not. Rather have everything else on hand instead of forgetting it constantly. I used to forget hot drinks like crazy.

I use to make those mistakes too, since I don't really have to worry about holding every material I pick up anymore its just easiest to carry all the basic stuff all the time.

It was fucking awful. And what made it worse was that the launch day -5 drivers that nvidia put out in preparation for the thing tanked performance liked you wouldn't believe.
I'm talking about 14 fps when zorah was on screen and unstable 20's everywhere.

But then once you rolled back it was back into high 50s.
Then the problem became particle effects killing your gpu. Back to sub 20 when teo did the nova.
Not to mention the connection issues.
Man the port was awful

Was just in a hunt with 4 gunlances. We killed Velkhana in 7m04s. I was getting single digit framerates at times. It was a blast. I wanted to save the hunt and share it on youtube, but my stupid ass still doesn't know how video capture works and all I ended up recording was the 11 seconds it took for me to ask the question in chat.

Also, it seems Wyrmstake blast explosions count as slinger shots. On the highlights at the end, we had people at like 500ish slinger shots.

Use divine slasher or jho's LS, kulve stuff is usually only marginally better anyways so they won't really mater unless your trying to speedrun

Just use Divine Slasher or the Jho LS. The Taroth weps are like MAYBE 4-5% of a gain. It's not really that big of a deal.

honestly I don't expect any new issues, it's just adding content and half the shit like dual skill charms and decorations are already possible as mods now, just look at the fair wind charm from preordering

DBs are like a case by case deal, since they relies on elemental so much some taroth weapons are just straight up better since they might have high elemental damage, same goes for bows

You just make whatever is best available. Anja for fire, Jyura for water, awakened Tzitzi for thunder, Fire and Ice for ice, Jho for dragon, and Bazel for blast.

This. I just have a regular old PS4 and the iceborne betas all ran fine to me. But I could never tell when frame drops happen unless it's obviously visible. Like slide show visible.

There's an option in room search for specific monster, just scroll thorough the list and "kulve taroth" should be near the bottom

She's only around like one week a month, you're probably gonna have to wait around awhile before she returns.

Event is inactive until the next festival. I wouldn't bother with Kulve until I'm higher HR anyways bc low hrs are kinda dead weights no offense. It's the difference between receiving all 6 rewards vs getting 1 bc party couldn't clear. If you look up how the fight works you would save yourself dozens of hours of brute forcing until it clicks with you too

Ive never had any frame dips with my playstation on world even with lunastra or teostra nukes, xeno explosions, helmbreakers and wyvernfire. I dont know how so many people say the game runs so shity, or make it sound like it does. It sometimes even makes me feel "maybe its super choppy but i just dont notice" but its not the case (Only problem is load times but i dont care about loading screens, lets me check my phone or some shit)
