>Sword character >With a literal random chance to deal a FUCKTON of damage on a normal hit >And FUCKING chargeable specials on ALL sides > And a whole FUCKING RPG mechanic along with it and 20 other spells, some of it being BROKEN AS FUCK for a regular character to have
What the fuck was Sakurai thinking when he made this character? Most other characters don't have anywhere near this level of power or utilities. This guy is a literal swiss army knife.
i wouldn't care about him if other RPG characters had random crits too. Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Earthbound, Persona, all should have random crits.
Evan Bennett
Not really
Nathan Cooper
Then Hero doesn't really need it either. And all complaints about it are valid.
Jackson Richardson
Because it is a party game. Sakurai doesn't create for balance he creates for fun and this character sounds fun
David Jones
Its final proof Sakurai does not fully understand how the comp scene works. He things that it will be more dramatic at EVO GFs if some Hero player gets a lucky thwack or crit than there being any skill
Luke Smith
Random crits are shit in any game.
Lucas Powell
Hero has it to make him a more unique and the others missed their chance for crit shit.
Hudson Foster
If he doesn't get results then he's not OP. Simple as that
Do people still not realise that Hero was released intentionally very strong? Dragon Quest has always been very niche and poor saleswise in the west and all this bitching and moaning has put the series front and centre right before the port of the new game is about to come out, it has all been one massive advertising ploy that has been completely successful the minute the game is released he will get nerfs out the ass they won't change his mechanics but his fire and electric special will get damage/knockback nerfs and his crit will probably get a knockback reduction.
Jonathan Lewis
What justification is there for a character that already has a kit filled to the brim with gimmicks a 1/8 chance to kill at 0%, and how is he STILL mediocre despite this and having one of the best side-b's in the game? It's literally "Pay $5.99 to be a wifi God": The character.
David Bennett
>crossover game is a marketing ploy For real?
John Green
>I'd pay good money to have everything unlocked from the very beginning Those dipshits abound.
Evan Long
yeah, it was even Square's idea to have other Heroes be the alts
Carson Richardson
Imagine being this retarded
Cooper Martinez
I don't understand your point
Luke Ross
wow, i never thought about that! really makes you think doesn't it
Nolan Moore
But he's right.
Adam Gutierrez
It's a party game.
Sebastian Torres
>OP >sucks at game >comes to complain about sucking at game >mother is eternally disappointed
this 2bh. Every FE character should have a chance of doing triple the damage. All of Joker's attacks should have a chance of tripping the opponent. Every time you hit Pikachu, you have chance of getting stunned by Static. Ness' PK Flash should have a chance to instakill and so on
Ian Turner
My post was meant to be sarcastic, of course a crossover game serves as a marketing ploy for some stuff.
Daniel Gonzalez
>With a literal random chance to deal a FUCKTON of damage on a normal hit Not normal hits; smash attacks. And his smash attacks are very slow and punishable. You'd have to be crazy to throw one out without a shield break or snooze. >And FUCKING chargeable specials on ALL sides Yeah, you have to charge them, meaning there's a significantly long startup. Again, this is a negative, especially for his recovery. > And a whole FUCKING RPG mechanic along with it and 20 other spells, some of it being BROKEN AS FUCK for a regular character to have Some of them are literally useless. Also, using down-b and then immediately using the top spell is fairly slow on its own, but using it and then not having a good spell to use is very punishable. All of his specials rely on a limited meter, his buffs give him drawbacks, and his arials are slow -- making his tilts the only fast moves he has other than some down-b spells which aren't reliable due to its randomness. He's as balanced as any other character. Just pick a fast character and apply pressure constantly so he can't charge any of his moves. You think a Hero player is going to be able to down-b while a Pichu or a Little Mac is onstage?
Andrew Powell
I'm terrible with Hero its like playing him makes me retarded
