When I was little I named characters after musicians and rappers, and it just kinda stuck so Link is always B.I.G. for me

Can't give you my main two because they're fucking everywhere but for example: Ivanov, who is a simple farmhandish man who has great experience with farmhand chemicals (completely safe) and a beloved tatyana who he discards all thots for while on x quest so he can go home and sample fine borscht with her in quiet and peace. A man of straightforward and uncomplicated solutions.

So this depending on whether roleplay is necessary or not gives me a general idea of the character and what they'll spec in/do. If its some Crpg with any kind of explosives then sign him the fuck up. If its some shit like kenshi then farming is clearly going to be important but he's not going to be particularly worried about morality as old country only had simple values etc etc.

I think I've only done an ivanov run three times, but giving yourself a somewhat pre-built character with some basic motivations before playing the game can be fun. Give it a try if you're just sweating thinking of a name for a tabula rasa, break the rasa's back go in and go in and go in like the marshal and his three daughters with your own vague backstory.
