Honestly the game runs like shit most of the time. A lot of the pictures in these threads are photoshopped to hell, and when they aren't you don't realize they make the game run in single digits.

Most of the animations are pretty choppy and underwhelming. Quests are all by ESL types who abandoned them. Worse still, they all have their own way of saying "Hello" to NPCs making it a real workout to just talk with them. to get what you want.

It's still fun to play around with, but man, picking and choosing the mods and installing them ended up being more fun than actually playing. I still have to stop myself from reinstalling whenever I see big titty snusnu orc women though. The hunger is always there.

Is there a mod that restricts the casualness of the game? Things like having to sleep to level up skills(or perks or whatever skyrim named them) or time skips when crafting or doing other things that should take longer than clicking a button and getting immediate results. Perhaps sprinkled with a stamina system that regenerates really slowly so you are forced to sleep after forging a few swords or having a really exhausting battle.

Can't connect to the nexus right now, but I think the mod for it is called Better College Application.
It prevents you from joining the college if you don't have a minimum skill in magic.
Even uses some unused VO lines for it.

I think I have ENBseries running, but it's kind of hard to tell because it's not nearly as breathtakingly beautiful as in some screenshots I've seen. Maybe I just need a different ENB preset. I have the jiggling boobs and Bombshell preset on bodyslide up and running. I have Flower Girls and and the nsfw Amorous Adventures up and running. I suppose that's great, but I don't really know how to get the other SL animations to work. The biggest issue I have it that I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get LODgen to work properly, so I have constant pop in/out of trees.

If you have a GOG version (which is what you should always go for if it's available, pirated or not) it's fine even with pirated copies. Some non-GOG pirated games also get by just fine though I don't know what exactly causes the exception.

I got no orc girls but i do know this, since the log of FNIS clearly states that it doesn't like non-steam paths for the game because skyrim is only on steam and not gog or anything else, for that matter. So it only checks if skyrim is installed in the steam folder, which of course also triggers his "drm" if you install skyrim in a different library folder.
It still works fine, it's the same scare-tactic as motherless uses when you search for "forbidden" terms like horse fucking.

Frostfall usually gives you enough time to get fucked a couple of times without killing you, but you can always disabled it temporarily.

a good rule of thumb is install 3-5 mods at a time and start it up, load a game where you're already able to go/do whatever and just check everything real quick (any item/spell/mechanic you added, any animation you added, any area, and make sure you don't crash during load screens) it sounds like it would take forever to do but you'll get the hang of it and be able to boot it up and test everything in under 2 minutes. You'll save way more time than you spend checking, since if one thing goes wrong and you don't know it is; your entire game might be fucked forever to the point of needing a full reinstall of the base game and your mods

You could always get Skyrim SE for the consoles. if you just want to fix the broken shit and put a little polish on it, those systems are fine. I play on the PS4, which is restrictive as hell. But, modders still have enough freedom to make the game fun, balanced, and way more interesting.

if you have an Xbox One, you get even more options, because modders can create original textures and shapes, there. Pretty sure there is just about everything except lewd mods, and all you have to do is download them through the in game interface. no fiddling with zip files, or anything.

If that's any degree of an obstacle for you, you shouldn't be bothering with modding at all.

Well, after you clean all your master files, build all of the armor in bodyslide (make sure you tick the HDT ones), build all the FNIS animations (and clicking the correct compatability patches), and then installing ENBseries correctly and install a preset (installing its ESPs as well), and make sure you build a bashed patch that has the correct levelled list, and fire up LOOT and sort all of your mods that way, and you gotta make sure you install all the right compatibility patches for everything, and also don't forget to configure everything in your MCM configuration menu, and you'll probably need to adjust all these settings ingame too just to make sure it's all working together.

It's not hard if you follow a guide, but it's a lot of instructions, and you have the potential to catastrophically fuck everything up if you misunderstand or misread a step. And Skyrimfags are autistic about not just making a bunch of modpacks to get to that stable stage before you install all the mods.

I've been playing modded VR. Most of the Special Edition mods work for it, but almost none of the oldrim ones (for similar reasons). Racemenu doesn't seem to work, unfortunately. I consider VRIK, Realistic Mining and Chopping, Realistic Archery, and Haptic Controller Feedback essential to the VR experience. Aside from that, it's pretty similar to ordinary SE modding.

Use LOOT standalone or the built-in light version in MO2 as to sort your files. Some manual fine-tuning may need to be done after if you don't care to input overrides into LOOT. If there's still too many conflicting mods touching the same items/NPCs, you may want to consider a merged or smashed patch.

LE for maximum degeneracy, SE for moderate degeneracy but a more stable base. You can get LE relatively stable, but it's going to take some effort on your part.

Oldrim has 3 times the mods that SE does. I may be wrong but I think LE is the modder's Skyrim of choice.

LE. As a rule of thumb, SE for standard QoL mods and additional content(armors, weapons, quests etc) and LE for the stuff that actually change the mechanics. The main problem with SE is that SKSE mods gets broken with each update.

I think what lacks the most in Skyrim porn mods is that you can instantly make the lewdest scenario possible in your mind with no real sense of progression or work towards it. Let's say, if you play a female MC, you can just undress her from the get go and get her raped or prostitute her the first instance. Where as having a sense of progression to work towards to feels more rewarding overall.
