Oddly enough, I really liked watching for the blatant dev control when it comes to characters the current player character would want dead and so logically wouldn't cause a game over but the game doesn't want dead yet. IE, you start a shoot out with Steve running away and the game controls your character until Steve has time to run away and despawn.

With the casino you scare the Mafia into letting Woozie get his foot in the door, interestingly enough all the missions regarding setting up the Casino don't require you to kill anyone.

It's only when your drug back into the crime life via CRASH, The Mafia, or Toreno that your actually forced to kill people with these businesses.

Lamar was an SD-era character in an HD GTA game. His whole purpose was to shoe the players that being all gangsta doesn't work in a realistic setting.

The players steal a fuckton of drugs and ingredients from all over the place for a massive deal Trevor's got organised, but it turns out it was a setup by the feds in the ending cutscene. Trevor escapes because the "buyer" slipped up and tipped Trevor off, but it's implied that he's broke after paying the players and that's how he ended up stuck with a tiny meth house in the middle of nowhere.
