What happened to the innocent days where we all escaped into fantasy world to entertain ourselves and get away from reality for a while. Most, if not all, of us were on good terms because our hobby was always frowned upon. We formed groups sharing these interests. People met, and talked about Quake, Baldur's Gate, Deus Ex and so on.
Now we have developers treating us like dirt because we expect a modicum of decency and respect? We have other "gamers" who call for specific people to die, and lo and behold it happens. How the fuck did we get to this point?
I just want this hobby to be comfy again. I want people to share video game stories, to talk about the depth of gameplay or plot in a specific game. To share thoughts, ideas, feedback.
