welcome to the hallway of death

So I just started the Expedition DLC. Defended the beach, got my Jet-Ski, and hauled ass back to Core City. I want to get the Red Dragon Edge Master Katana. Does Aran only spawn once I have the Acorn? I looked around the city and didn't find him. I thought someone said you could cheese him and get it when you start the DLC, but I must be misremembering.

Ghostnigger leave

Afraid he plagues these threads with his shitty meme build.

How can such a shady fuck also be so likable?

inhaled enough braps, big nig?

it seems you can handle more than your homies

Attached: 20190901040237_1.jpg (1920x1080, 292K)

It's my first run, I tried an assassin build (stealth/knife) but how the fuck am I supposed to kill enemies ? Is it normal if Stalkers at the beginning are 3x stronger than me and kill me no matter what I do ? Stealth seems really useless.
Somebody told me to try a hit and run tactic, you hit then you flee in the shadows, but it's impossible with the Stealth cooldown, plus once you activate Stealth, you lose all your action points for the turn.

There is something I didn't understand. Guess I'll go stealthy sniper, like everybody else... *sigh*

He's in the little bar in the Core City residential district. If he's not there, then I suppose you need the acorn first.

Gas looks so overpowered. I decline to use gas

His last words were, "...Quite pungent, my dear."

Attached: 20190901040952_1.jpg (1920x1080, 350K)

A good first build is CON wizard simply because it lets you learn a lot of the details of the game mechanics without being stuck in a dead end.
Stealth/Knife, and melee builds in general, require a fair bit of knowledge of the mechanics of the game.

Unlike every other grenade type, you need to work around it to make it work. If you just toss it at the enemy, 8 times out of 10 they'll be far away from the brap cloud by the time it comes out. That's what makes it fun, in my opinion.
It is nice that it's also absolutely devastating if you do get the enemy into the brap cloud even for a turn or two.

>I decline to use
On your first playthrough, you should use a bit of everything that you can, if only to see how it works and judge it for yourself.

It's probably the most OP thing in the game when you do the maths on it.
Which is funny because the other gas nade, cryogas, is effectively useless.
Toxic gas can be a lifesaver in certain dire situations, but in general you can go without it.
Take the high road and only pack frags and molotovs and caltrops and beartraps and throwing nets

Maybe the real underrail was the friends we made along the way

Yeah, friends like... uh... Ezra and Dude? That's not a lot.

Vivi.

A-user...

We're gonna meet up for drinks at the Hardcore City Bar any day now.

You got a friendship medallion from the faceless.

Should I buy this or Shadowrun? I just finished Divinity and have hard time finding anything that fits the bill. I just want to do adventuring on my own time etc, figure things out and kill them

Attached: 1.jpg (1280x1803, 654K)

both

make sure you get dragonfall or hong kong, tho

Make friends wherever you go.

Attached: triggered.png (1352x1474, 2.49M)

>I just want to do adventuring on my own time
Underrail for sure. You can spend a LOT of time just losing yourself while exploring the lower Underrail. The world is far more interesting than Shadowrun's meme setting.

>tfw using 300 health worth of psi points in a single turn and still have 100 for the next

>I just want to do adventuring on my own time etc, figure things out and kill them
Underrail for sure.

Shadowrun Returns games have linear mission-to-mission campaigns, not much freedom to explore and they're pretty dumbed down.

...This is going to be hell.

where are your bear traps

Second time's a charm. Now if only I had a fucking gas mask.

Protectorate or Free Drones?

I still can't beat this quest. Can't make toxic grenades and have no idea where to buy fillers.

Free Drones, of course.

Oh, we are so fucked.

Attached: 20190901061448_1.jpg (1920x1080, 329K)

Protectorate, obviously.

Just me and you now, Saban. I think this is the last of them. Fuck, Dan, why did you have to die?

Attached: 20190901061836_1.jpg (1920x1080, 334K)

YES! FUCK YOU! DOMINATING!

DOMIKEK I AM NO LONGER, DOMICHAD IS HERE! WOOOOOH!

thank you for your sacrifice, Dan, and the bunches of life-saving cave ear caltrops that made my gas grenades and burrower poisoned caltrops into assured death

Attached: 20190901061950_1.jpg (1920x1080, 308K)

Loot poisoned barrels, they'll always have a toxic barrel or two.

i cant imagine how it feels being such garbage at this videogame.

i know you're trying to bring me down and it just can't work, i'm too high on cheese right now

You have been baptized in Dan's blood.

What should my stats be like for a spear build?

First playthrough. Is it possible to pick up both hacking, crafting and a combat skill? What are some vital skills or things to put points into?

What exactly are you going for? Do you want all the lore, a versatile build, or a heavily specialized build like a pure unarmed puncher?

6 AGI for Sweep, 7 STR for Impale, and at least 5 DEX for spear throw.

>sigh
you deserve all the death stalkers you get

I never liked Shafowrun. I think I played Dragonfall and tries to do a semi-offensive build, then got to a mission where I had to enter a hotel or something and the bottom floor was a club, but the only way was through hacking or persuasion. Having none of these meant mu only way to get in was to kill everyone in the club, which was against.

Like at lesst underrail makes clear killing is usually a viable, non punoshed option, you just have alternatives to it. I feel cheated when I'm locked with an option that will fuck me regardless.

You either are a Dex spear for maximum throwing
or you're a STR spear for Hoplite build

Versatility I guess, Id rather not be strictly locked out of too much due to my build

Mechanics lets you build most weapon types, traps and some armor, so it's usually mandatory Electronics is great too. Chem is for nades and Chem pistol and biology for DRUGS and psi. Tailoring only for tincans.

And yeah you can easily do that. You can level 8 skills at the same time having them always at max skill lvl possible, but many don't need that and you can juggle others.

Do you prefer Melee or Ranged?

No idea

Thank god for Underrail, I was tired of replaying New Vegas every week.

Alright then. The early game is hell on firearms so you should probably go with a spear. Max out throwing and melee. Whether or not you pick lockpicking and hacking is up to you but not picking either would save you a lot of skill points. Invest in every crafting skill, and invest in Persuasion and Mercantile. Neither are necessary but they let you solve some quests easily, unlock endings, and get access to end-game level craftable gear components.

Stealth is also a really good investment if you want to always start first in a fight.

>clearing out natives villages
>first from jet ski the ballistas and the fucking faggots fuck you Styg crossbowmen
>then go knife the warriors on land
>and finally, in one corner of the map all the scared women
Why is genocide so satisfying?

Serpent leather armor sure looks cool.

I am Immortal!

i hope

or was it Ezra
either way that ugly fuck is suspicious as fuck but the guy i'm more concerned about is the fizzy water dapper guy, i saw him in SGS then i found him briefly in core city, he's probably at the hanging rat now, but..
..who is he?

I'm doing Dude's quest and I'm at the point where I must find mineral oil in a slav military base but I get overwhelmed by enemies, I have to fight 8 guys at the same time, never had much problem in the game before. Any idea?

>..who is he?
A manchild, literally.

>Any idea?
Don't fight them?

I'm just glad that each of them keeps their unique look despite applying an overcoat. Vanilla leather armors all get one of the two generic looks depending on whether you apply black or the other two clothes.

cringe tier blog post

But that's gay

Yeah, I've noticed the Heartbreaker armor is the same too.
Are there any other cool leather armor I can craft in the black sea? Serpent looks very good so far, despite the low leather quality, perhaps I'll invest in Tailoring in the next run because I really like how it looks.
Suit yourself, tovarisch.
Your choice to go full retard and aggro an entire military base.

A huge faggot, pretty much.

If you're not playing as female and have persuasion you can pick up a disguise at the start and cough your way through. Regular stealth is another option. If you're gonna fight your way through it's going to be total hell at low levels since the second room spawns spec-ops units as reinforcements once enough enemies are down. If all else fails you could just revert to earlier save and come back later; the game should've made a special auto-save just before entering the rift with Dude.

You dont need persuasion at all
You can use uniform + vents and clear the whole thing with 0 stealth

You don't gain anything in particular by slaughtering the whole base, you know.

Yeah, that as well. I also noticed that you can exploit your way through and skip dialogue while in uniform by entering combat and using sprint + adrenaline shot to run past soldiers. They won't mind.

Yeah that's the way to do it as a woman with no stealth if you dont want to fight the whole base

That's some extreme cheese, bordering on war crime flavour. Guessing it works for girls too.

Is azif the only person i can deliver the shard? My quest bugged and somehow the coughing cuck got mad even though i delivered his stupid bug in the vents, the quest didnt even fail

Assuming I'm thinking of the right shard, why would you ever want to deliver it to anyone?

>*sigh*
try playing on easy

Getting locked out of Oculus is the worst thing that could happen to your playthrough, why are you still persisting with your cursed timeline?

>Is it possible to pick up both hacking, crafting and a combat skill?
it's not possible, it's necessary
but pick only one combat skill

To be fair, there's only three belts worth wearing and the lifiing belt is probably the best in the game.

>hacking
>necessary
There's honestly nothing good behind locked doors and locked containers. It's only somewhat interesting because you get to press more buttons on terminals. Persuasion is more interesting in this aspect and mercantile is way more useful.

You dont take hacking for loot, you take it to make certain quests or places 10 time easier

>not Doctor's Pouch
Don't mind me, just having every possible medicine buff active at once and nearly free heals. Since they reworked lifting belt and added the carry weight bonus it's good to have it in your inventory for when you're hauling back loot, but all other belts aside from V*gorous belt outweigh its benefits unless you're a sledge user.

Because i couldnt arse to restart

But i need azif to turn the shard into the ethereal torch, don't i?

>easier
But I don't want to literally skip the challenge, I want to play the game. That one time you can shutdown dozens of robots instead of fighting them is straight up cucked and you miss out on a unique oddity on top.

I'd say the following belts are worth wearing
Lifting Belt
Advanced Catalyzing belt (early game the regular one is ok)
Bolt Quiver
Doctor's Pouch
Bullet Strap Belt
Shell Strap Belt

>Dan, why did you have to die?
because you wouldnt use bear traps!
you put your pride above his life!

>But i need azif to turn the shard into the ethereal torch, don't i?
No. Drink Juice and examine the shard again.

Question about building a character. All the starting feats i have access to are not very good... can I save those 2 feats for later when I have other requirements met?

its too bad the best-looking one is the worst

>Bullet Strap Belt
>Shell Strap Belt
Not even worth giving up the utility slot of a utility belt.

what's a twig?

augmented rathounds

cant help but notice your jetski there...

>what's a twig?
I think he means that stuff that some old world weapons are made of. I don't see how savages would find enough of those to make so many crossbows with.

no, user
some weapons have a max range of farther than your view distance; you can only shoot objects farther than that
npcs though, while they have a smaller view distance than you, once they see you, they dont have it anymore and can shoot you from their weapons max range

its supposed to be a balance thing
imagine if enemies spotted you from the edge of your vision

>All the starting feats i have access to are not very good
Wrong.
>can I save those 2 feats for later when I have other requirements met?
Nope.

I'd prefer if enemies attacked me sooner rather than shoot me out of my vision range later. Literally can't even tell where the fuck those crossbowmen are half the time and if there's a sniper somewhere out there I'm fucking dead if I don't find a corner real fast.

just like real life

I dunno, man, I usually can see what's happening 10 meters away from me.

wat

Crossbow max range is 14, and that's the PC line of sight.
Sure sometime it might be that they move shoot and move back, but when Im on a jet ski that doesnt work

boy, how did i came to regret this decision

Attached: file.png (356x180, 142K)

snipers are usually farther than that

Nah, you're forced to spend all stat points, skill points and feats every level.

Sprint alone is perhaps the most useful starting perk in the game and can be the difference between going behind a corner to break line of sight or eating several attacks. Nimble is always great if you're spending any points into dodge / evasion / stealth and like having movement points. Even if you don't get to 0% armor penalty to activate the second effect it still reduces it by 15%. Expertise is fantastic with any low damage rapid-fire weapons. Reckless' crit bonus is pretty hefty and good for any non-psi crit build, as is Survival Instincts if you can spare 9 CON.

You will eventually learn how to ignore the voices

Nope, you're forced to choose
Sprint is the overrall one of the best starting feats

haha what am i playing on classic or something

Attached: file.png (409x112, 49K)

if you were classic you'd get 1% of the xp bar

>user convinces me to do a knife/stealth run
>Mfw getting completely blown the fuck out by lone crossbow niggers that I ambush
>Mfw falling for the dodge/evasion/leather meme again even though I should know better by now

Attached: 1542998418736.jpg (388x394, 40K)

So a single cave in the black sea gets me 2 levels? Sweet

Is this the first time you got oddities from hostiles or what?

just get a taser and have enough mp to hide around corners
psi works too

yikes

>psi
I'd rather kill myself
>taser
I might have to. it's just so absurd though, having to rely so much on all these stun crutches. I, a leather melee nigger, ambush a leather crossbow nigger. in melee range. and 9 times out of 10 he kills me because dodge and evasion do absolutely nothing. not even necessarily stun bolts, just him being able to move and then hit me with aimed shot. styg pls

just play on an easier difficulty until you learn the ropes

Become a tin can
Use either ARs, Shotguns or a hammer

>I'd rather kill myself
That's an intense reaction to having fun.

If it's a 1x1 against a crossbow faggot you gotta win it every single time. Are you level 3?

I'm quite overlevelled

I'm not bad at the game, I'm just trying to discuss the occasionally bad game design/balance. in this instance it's very obviously terrible.

Are you pre depot or something? Just grab the cripple/reduce action point feats or something m8, what feats do you have even. He shouldn't even be surviving you knifing in the first place, everytime a knife nigger gets close to me, it is fucking over because it means i can't move after.

post build, what the hell is going on
are you using the shiv? jackknife?

>I'm quite overlevelled

Post your character sheet/feats, i want to laugh at you.

>I, a leather melee nigger, ambush a leather crossbow nigger. in melee range. and 9 times out of 10 he kills me because dodge and evasion do absolutely nothing
Literally how? If you're attacking from stealth you should be able to nuke the guy in one turn. Of all the possible foes knife users might have difficulty with you're dying to a human in leather armor?

finally got a single super steel that isnt below q100

>I'm not bad at the game,
we're not trying to make fun of you, but if you're having trouble 1vs1 anything but a heavy tank then you're doing something wrong

Is it normal that ironhead guys are destroying me as a level 11 psi only build.

>Super Steel
*Breaths in*

sukk me ppepe ;^)

bullet proof regenerative vests and napalm
and stay out of sight range of snipers

Reroll, grey army base is the new build filter

TUNGSTEN IS LOVE
TUNGSTEN IS LIFE
DISMISS SUPER STEELFAGS
CARRY THAT WEIGHT AND IT SHALL PROTECT YOU

fuck off gaylords. I'm using shock serrated steel with expose weakness and some other shit, I think vile weaponry and taste for blood. those latter two I think are kind of shit. if you're asking about builds you're kind of missing the point. I have high dodge and evasion. he is using a crossbow and moving and firing, from short range with a long range weapon, and he never misses. it's dumb

I'm not unaware that I could employ more cheese. I think it's the game that is wrong and not me

Wait till you meet their boss.

It's not normal that you'd be such a pipeworker that you'd play a psi-only character, but getting wrecked by Ironheads is natural enough. You'll soon learn how to deal with them though.

You could have 0 dodge/evasion, the point here is that the crossbow guy should not survive 1 round against you if you got the drop on him

Become a Tin Can

if you're talking about the cut-throat feat, then no I don't have it

>i refuse to use the tools provided in the game so it's the game's fault
ok

I'm not, you should kill him with normal attacks only
cutthroat is fun but trash

>I'm not unaware that I could employ more cheese
>anything that isn't approved to satisfy my gamer design idea is bad

Just shoot yourself m8 and quit this thread, you are clearly not only bad at game, but bad at life.

Attached: shoo SHOO.png (143x138, 21K)

>I think it's the game that is wrong and not me
the crux of your issue: instead of playing the game by its established rules, which are hard and fast, you invent your own standards in your head that you hold the game to. this is the shitter mentality.

No pls
I just got enrage hopefully that will sort them out

>game makes you eat your own shit
>I don't want to eat my own shit
>lol get good!
Kys

it's not even close to happening. maybe half hp in one round. meme on my feat selection all you want, but it's not going to bring the damage up that much

>I think it's the game that is wrong and not me
Well, Underrail is built as an "all or nothing" system so you're not wrong, that said, it's very explicit with this.
The game is very specifically designed with blitzing in mind, or building up a tin can and praying some Psi faggot doesn't stunlock or some Golyathus doesn't fry your brain, either way, the hit rolls are also questionable so keep that in mind, if you want to play with evasion you better commit to it fully, and Psi users will still laugh at you.

Sure, let us see that build of yours
Are you playing on dominating?

stop playing the game then retard
you're the one eating the shit in your own analogy
the rest of us with half a brain will use all the tools at our disposal

i only use leather
im not a cuck

>first playthrough
>3 con stealth pistol on hard
>make it to depot a
>die if more than 1 enemy attacks me in the same turn
>shooting my gun draws the entire map into the fight
>every encounter has to be cheesed with grenades, bear traps and line of sight
>reload constantly
did i fuck up when i made my character? i feel like it'd be way easier if i had more con or the ability to do silent kills.

how can i join pirates?

>'I'm not a cu-'
*Dies to a single crossbow bolt*

hard, and I can't be bothered typing up my skills feats attributes and equipment, sorry

I'm the one choosing not to eat my own shit, actually. we could've just had a chat about how dodge and evasion aren't very good and how stuns: the game is a bit dumb sometimes, but you're all frothy retards for some reason

Fist weapons or unarmed, which is better?

>"stealth" pistol
Unless you put a silencer on your 5mm peashooter you ain't stealthing anything son, consider energy pistols as they're naturally silent, and yeah, expect a lot of reloads too.

Attached: mirror keks Lem.jpg (775x502, 357K)

get a 5mm silenced hawker
:^)
you're not cheesing anything m8, what's wrong with you? you're being resourceful
just use the character builder tool

>I'm not unaware that I could employ more cheese

>I'm the one choosing not to eat my own shit

ok

>consider energy pistols as they're naturally silent
uhhh

Stop using a knife you found in a SGS dumpster at level 1
Even if you get super unlucky and dont kill the guy in one turn then why the fuck are you not using one of the 500 tools to stop him from attacking back

there's only one way to do stealth pistols

>smart goggles
>smart module, silencer, hawker
>infused rathound leather armor
>focus stim
>adrenaline/cocaine
>hardcore chips
>whichever of w2c or jhp that makes the most sense
>taser
>a net if this goes into round two
>opportunist
>blindsiding
>recklessness
>scrutinous
>execute
>aimed shot
>point shot
>rapid fire
>kneecap shot

Is nimble/armor plating worth for a tin can build or better to not pick it up if I plan on doing weightlift feat?

excellent rebuttal, friend kys

this is about the best knife available with the metal in game right now. I tried the same approach again to see if I'd get "super unlucky" again. turns out I got super unlucky about 10 times

armor sloping and bodyweight training are only worthwhile if you're going with fairly minimal armor plating
so if your armor penalty is way up there in the 60+ range; I dont think I would bother with them, instead Id go for max plating and forgot about movement aside from sprint

There's no way you're not getting at least 1 cheap shot stun off on the guy

F9 is my friend

didn't take that feat yet

When they kidnap the professor go to Razor. Tell him you want to join and he asks you to steal an Aegis Patroller to prove your worth. Or tell him you want to negotiate for professor's release so he takes you to Grimm and ask him directly if you can join. Doing the latter skips the Aegis Patroller stealing part but you then need either high persuasion or INT to convince Grimm of your intentions.

lmao
that explains a lot

>didn't take that feat yet

>meme on my feat selection all you want, but it's not going to bring the damage up that much

so can we just ignore this retard yet

i was planning on doing this but maybe its shit

Attached: murderhobo.jpg (1920x1080, 662K)

Usually 1 feat defined a build, yes, and that applies to every single game. That's why games have builds in the first place. Your dex is too low for someone that is overlevelled

unironically consider no longer drawing breath on this good earth

>tfw only found her like half-way through the game, pretty much on accident

>accidentally bought the freighter i'd already stripped of parts

Attached: sean.gif (500x500, 1.94M)

yeah lets put her behind a fucking tent so you never see her

>can't see an entire building because of a single tent
PERlet detected

Nimble and Weightlifting stack so it's good to take both if you're not doing anything ridiculously heavy like custom-made Tungsten Steel armor with additional Tungsten plates and helmet + boots with even more Tungsten for max DMG resistance and threshold.

Don't worry user, it also took me over 10 different characters to realize Rail Crossing had a doctor. I always thought the rail car entrance was just wall.

You really ought to wear those goggles, bre.

8 starting is alright I think, and I guess I'll take it next level

also me for both of these things

>have 13 per
>still nothing showing up behind those tents after doing every quest in the area

theres a doctor in.. rail crossing?

It's 10 starting or reroll lad, have you ever looked at the DEX AP reduction table?

Oh god what the fuck.

Good lord, and I thought I was blind.

underrail.com/forums/index.php?topic=3548.msg19793#msg19793
the game filters these people out automatically but now we need these threads to also filter them out automatically

Happened to me too
I felt retarded

Okay, so it may have been against some stupid hunchback, but a 2k shield bash crit feels great. Weeb Katana of Blood-Kill feels awesome.

Attached: shield bash.jpg (1920x1080, 328K)

My fucking sides, based fucking dev, i'm buying 3 copies now just to leave a good review and tell my friends to do the same.

inb4 shill

i'm a full blow jetter but when a dev makes such a post like this, he is entitled to every single cent i have.

Attached: 1411234963233.jpg (807x810, 61K)

I stealthed down there once; it's literally nothing but more thugs

you can literally go downstairs from the other side and kill the guys down there and they won't even know

>How do you guys feel about the power of stun attacks, and the return on investment in the dodge and evasion skills?
>POST BUILD LOL
isn't it you being retarded though? what bearing on the matter at hand would my build have?

strawpoll.me/18575666

I only ever read negative reviews, and reviews like that are the kind that makes me want to buy a game.

>starting DEX 8
>no cheap shots
very telling

dex doesn't affect dodge or evasion

>being a literal brainlet

Nigga, do you want evasion and dodge to be damage immunity or something? Enemies on hard are HARD, and unless you minmaxed your buid, they won't do jackshit, the game punishes bad builds and rewards good build GREATLY, if you aren't turning your character into the fucking siphoner man with all the good feats and shet, it doesn't matter how many points you have on your fucking dodge and evasion, having 60 points in it doesn't mean enemies willl miss me 60% of the time, so fucking ye, post your goddamn build, or shut your disgusting casual whoring mouth

Imo if you have good agility and wear light armor you should have dodge/evasion.
They're always more useful than whatever else you were going to put those points in.

It does affect the main point, that is, that the poor guy can't kill a crossbow faggot in a 1x1

stop bully !!!!!!!

just identify as a trans-intellectual

leave my build alone tfw you're too much of a low-per brainlet like the strawpoll guy above to get tabis in rail crossing

you can get tabis from a number of places pre depot A, mainly blaine

I was thinking of a full power plate build. A walking tank

then ignore both of them, and dont both with boot springs

why not?

This is such a stupid joke but still so funny to me.

Attached: gluck 17.jpg (1920x1080, 396K)

played game for about 15 hours. got sick of RNG with guns. doing pure psi build now because whatever psi i used before was more helpful than anything else i was doing.
what should my base stats be?
new build is
10 will
6 strength
7 intelligence
8 constitution
3 everything else
what problems will i have?

because 5% of 30 mp is like 1-2 mp

You shouldn't have many problems but you don't really need all that Strength. Strength is mainly for being able to use weapons, the carry weight is a non-issue for a psi character. I'd put those points in Intellgence for crafting/psi regen or Constitution for health.

light levels matter a lot with guns
night vision goggles would increase your accuracy in a lot of places

The MP boost is irrelevant if you go full heavy tank with tungsten
Maybe with Super Steel can become worthile, IF you have the charons for it

I just finished the expedition. Should I take the implant out or does it not matter at all if I've explored everywhere?

Is it worth having both Dex and str high?

>stealthing around hives
>radio goes off
>forces me to unstealth in front of two hives
thanks guys

Most of the enemies in Expedition are so FUCKING infuriating. Arghhh

Though I've found that Locus of Control and Bilocation is an absolutely broken combination.

if you go bare handed or with metal gloves, yes

Depends on your build. A lot of them would rather focus on one, but it is totally viable for unarmed/fist weapon characters to get 12 dex for the reduced AP cost on punches, and then pump strength for more damage.

And if I just wanna be shoot guy?

What's up with the tesla armor's durability?

More intelligence, less strength

Depends
STR for sledgehammers and spears
DEX for knifes and fists

What is for guns then?

Perception. You can also raise Dex if you're using "Light" guns like Pistols and SMGs to reduce their AP costs for firing.

Some guns have a STR requirement, ARs, Shotguns, Snipers, but it goes around 5-7
I cant remenber, you should check out the wiki
But the light weapons, such Pistols and SMGs, are mostly affected by DEX

Perception increases guns skill, so pump that

isn't strength needed for heavier armors, and wouldn't those be a good idea to have?

Perception and enough Strength to use your intended firearm.

>Most of the enemies in Expedition are so FUCKING infuriating
You mean all. Spiders are awful, crabs are awful, anything in the water is awful, locusts are awful, and even the fucking human net spam is awful. The robots are the only fun enemies to fight.

>even with the maximum 95% precision, flurry has a 15% chance of failure any time you use it
Please tell me this isn't as bad as it sounds.

They're really not if you have any amount of versatility in your character.

then no

you'll want some str for ARs and sniper rifles, a bit more for the full-auto feat, and 8 or 9 for metal armor

dex is for pistols and smgs

all guns want perception

it needs some drawback
the explanation is that it's experimental armor with lots of fragile high-tech components

Depends if you plan to use metal armour or not

That isn't how math works. However the real chance of it failing is pretty much 100% when you need it to work.

At level 17 with 4 CON. Pure PSI build, how high should I raise it with the remaining points I'll get from levelling up?

I die a lot without abusing shields and the ice shield.

>That isn't how math works
95% chance of success.
You use 3 attacks in flurry.
All 3 must succeed in order for flurry to not be a fuckup.
0.95^3 = 0.857
1-0.857=14.3% chance of failure on use.
Sorry I didn't carry the 1%, Professor.

The only armor that needs Strength is metal armor and I wouldn't suggest using it on a Psi character. You'll want to stick with tactical vests or riot gear.

plz respond, I want to go home.

is there some mission where i'll get people to help me go genocide natives or should i just go right now and do it, i'm not really sure that i'm ready to do it alone yet

on my first machete run, I had great luck with flurries and grenade throws

on my current one, even with the same throwing skill and even higher melee, I'm missing and flubbing like crazy

so minimal strength i'd need would be 5 for riot gear? i think i remember it having a strength requirement.
10 will
10 intelligence
8 con
3 everything else
how's this sound?

it only has a requirement for shields, I think, which varies with what kind

You're right, I forgot riot gear with a shield does have a Strength requirement. If you go that route you'll want to use a psi beetle shield which only requires 4 Strength. Your build looks good to me.

>strawpoll.me/18575666
Drop con to 5 and raise strenght to be even, unless you don't plan on looting anything, 3 strenght gonna hurt you so fucking bad

I took pack rathound

It's for the best.

>the merchants area in core city is divided in a bunch of tiny maps
>have to keep switching to sell shit
>let alone reach the elevator to go somewhere else
>go to the aegis docks
>huge fucking place
why couldn't they have done this up there

Attached: 1544393410769.jpg (276x311, 9K)

sure would be nice if that 'general store' would actually buy things
>buying 2 repair kits, 3 foodstuffs and 1 raw leather :^)

t. Al fabet

because the docks are new from the expansion, and the merchant sector is old

core city is pure aids
litearlly 4 screens of npcs walking infront of you
and dont get me started on foundry

honestly the general merchant from core city was always shitty when it comes to buying, he never buys anything that you might have bothered to pick up, in the end he has a whole lot of charons but you never have anything to sell to him

i just end up selling all the bullets i find to him since thats the only thing you can always sell

You sell 2-3 shields or an energy pistol to the electronics guy, the best weight/value guns you find fully repaired to the weapons merchant, and all of your ammo to the general store.

>It's not his low testosterone that makes him less of a man, it's not being a man that keeps his testosterone low
Was it kino?

Wait, does that happen if you don't help them with protectorate train?

Also Dan, Ferryman, Carnifex

The fuck is up with Ferryman actually? Philosophy aside, some of his dialogues suggest he knows way too much about Lemuria and surface.

Read your books, kid.

>how bad is early game if i wanna be a laser gun-shootan pew pew robocop?
not too bad

the .44 + aimed shot will carry you until you can find or make your first laser pistol
though the early lack of crit damage might still be hard

is it worth dipping into chem guns or do i want to go pure lazer?

>how bad is early game if i wanna be a laser gun-shootan pew pew robocop?
Not to bad, the Hammerer will carry you hard until Junkyard, that thing is so powerful early on you can also go straight to tunnels and murderhobo the raiders.

Become a murderhobo if you survive. Good luck.

>wanting those pieces of shit
lol

>how bad is early game if i wanna be a laser gun-shootan pew pew robocop?
Depends on your difficulty.
Either way, dip chemistry/tailoring and be ready to craft some fuckin molotovs, problem solved.

blaine

chem guns are a good secondary option for many builds, so its up to you

ive yet to use one myself

porque no los dos?

both benefit from dex and need a shit load of shots to get in to benefit from their effects

You're already using pistols
You already have high Int at least for crafting
Both energy and chem only have 2/3 related feats so its not like you're feat starved
And finally chem guns are based
So, yes

So how exactly do I unlock The Juice? I just got the quest where I have to go get something important for The Dude.

neattt, thanks mates

follow his questline all the way to the end

naw
lasers dont need many shots if you have high crit chance/damage
10 dex is fine

>already 270 hours played
>nowhere near finishing the game
>haven't started dlc yet
I know i keep restarting but jeezus fuck

Did I fuck up any Rig quests if I helped Scrappers in Junkyard?

Yeah but more shots equal more dead bodies
You one or two shot everything when you get a high quality laser gun + critical power

There are 0 quests for the Rig

The Rig eels are sucking protectorate dick differently from the Junkyard Eels

so, not really

What's the maximum Leper Serpent skin quality?
Can't seem to go beyond 80-85.

Laster pistols or plasma? Which one is better?

The max (160)

well, you want the highest int you can get for the best damage, as well as good per to hit in the first place and for some damage as well

ive seen up to 133 or so, pre infused

laser for general use, plasma for one-shotting bosses

Better for what? They have completely different stats in case you haven't noticed.

>using junk jet the whole time because i'm jew as fuck
>carrying shit makes me a water snail
>aegis gives me free new jet
>i can carry more than I have ever imagined while still going at sonic speeds
this is what true power feels like

No, the Rig eels don't even care if you tell them that Silas is your bro. There's also fuck-all to do there.

I've seen around 130-140, I think. The natives are your best bet, ironically.

Im running 7 Per and have no problem hitting anything on dominating with laser

That's bullshit but i believe it.

Actually, no i don't.

Different niche.
Laser Pistol is devastating with Aimed Shot and can shoot quite a lot of times due to its low AP/EN costs.
Plasma gun is the Hammerer of the energy pistols, massive damage but massive costs in terms of AP/EN, it's mostly useful for erasing boss enemies with a well placed CC and Execute/Opportunist, but a hig DEX build allows them to at least forego their AP cost, which coupled with the massive Crit damage for the weapon category can be quite good on a DEX/INT build.

plenty of enemies will evade the fuck out of you with just 7 per, but if you stun or root them, then no, you should be fine

thanks bres.

Remember to thank daddy Briggs. That thing is fantastic. You still won't be able to comfortably carry back all those metal plates though.

So, once I start Expedition I can take my Junk Jet and fuck off to go and genocide Natives, right? That will stop the invasions so I can focus on exploration, questing, and fucking around too, correct?

Also, how do I do the Mercantile option for the vendor (His name starts with an L, I forgot it sorry) in the camp? I got 95 mercantile and he tells me to go fuck myself (or more accurately that Briggs will hang him by his balls).

just go full inquisition on the tribals, they have high quality leathers all around their villages, i've seen 140+ from them

i think being invictus helps
at least that's what he said to me
also his secret inventory isn't great unless you're a psi user with the crit thing

I just became invictus actually. I joined the DLC before becoming Invictus, then went back and did it after I could leave. Hopefully when I go back to camp he'll let me check it out.

I guess you just need more mercantile

sometimes he sells an SSD

Ambush.
Then if hit chance is really bad, flashbang or acid cooked shot or something similar to kill their evasion

Is laser or plasma more aesthetic?

Oh okay.
I'm 200 hours into my first playthrough and just now stumbled upon dev log mentioning Rig quests and Black Eels.

>aesthetic
The music gun

Please post sword and spear builds!

you need to complete the first tribal assault first, and get the mission to go check out the warehouse, then you can move freely and either go back to the rest of the underrail or just go straight to the tribals and murder them all so they won't bother you anymore

the merchant is ladenman, i think you either need merchant in the 105 or 120, but i'm not sure, i think i did it with very little points on mercantille, but i was the invictus and told brigss that i was the invictus then ladenman went full fanboy and that might lower the mercantille check

Attached: 1499825120139.png (250x242, 2K)

You will be forced to defend the first wave of savages unless Aegis gets buttmad at you

Then yes, go genocide the natives, personally I'd do that before the warehouse mission, I spend dozens hours roaming around the black sea without doing the warehouse mission and the natives never attacked, but right after I completed it, a scripted second native happened.
I assume that more random native attacks dont occur IF you're still in the first part of the game, which is prior to opening the vault of the island

no, the earthquake opened the tunnel to lemuria, then when biocorp came to check it out, the lemurians had trapped it

Ah, Dominating.

i legit thought my game was bugged

I think it is a lot of fun.

Do you really think I'd let Gorsky use me like some chess piece in his retarded bid to piss away his life fighting the Protectorate?

Sword and board or Spear and Board?

Which one is actually good and useful?

it was in a devlog

No, but I expect you to not let any important character die
Tank morale code

Oh, damn.

I like spears because of Impale, Sweep and Spear Throw. They're just more fun in my opinion.

Both are useful but different
Swords can mob down entire mobs
Spears can one shot units and bosses

yes, the more of a thorn in the protectorates ass he is and the more power he takes from the oligarchs you and SGS get the better position to fuck them both, unless you are planning in go chasing tanner then its all pointless and it doesn't matter

How many of you fuckers do I have to kill!?

Attached: how many.jpg (1920x1080, 646K)

I'd say spear and board if you want to be a tank with shield perks since swords are kind of a DEX weapon (for Ripper and crit chance) despite not receiving AP reduction and need a perk to get half-assed block that's reliant on high DEX, whereas spears get inherent block from the word go and it stacks with shield block.

Swords are also a "miss once and eat shit" kind of weapon and I very much prefer to be more lightweight than riot gear when the inevitable happens.

How much stealth do I need to dynamite the hives?
Having a gorillion locusts' turns is seriously getting on my nerves.

Does anyone notice how you get fucktons more dialogue with the Ferryman if you've high INT?

He's one of the few characters where it's worth it for dialogue reasons

Yngwar also has different dialogue, with you trying to speak his language. Hypercerebrix is fun.

none, technically

depends on the difficulty, normal/hard, a full set of 100q+ crafted stealth gear will probably do, for dominating you will need that and as much points in stealth as you can get

its probably easier just getting the CAU armor + hazzard boots and either gas mask or the grey army special ops helmet

Then how do I get beyond the wall of locusts they spawn as I enter their range?

Yeah, you also get a psi / resolve perk out of it. I'm not sure but 9 or 8 is enough to get Philosophy III, though it doesn't unlock all dialogue. Same with Yngwar, somewhat lower than 10 should be enough to get the quest hint item even if it doesn't unlock all the dialogue with him.

kill the first wave of locusts, drop out of combat, set charge

You need 10 to get Philosophy III, Yngwar only needs 9.

>quest hint item
Is this the rune sketch he gave me?

yes

One day. One day I'm going to kill Vera so fucking hard for ruining everything that I've built.I don't care how. I don't care where. I'll sacrifice everyone in Hexagon if I have to. But that bitch is going to die, even if I have to bend time and space to make the game recognize it.

>You need 10 to get Philosophy III
Nah, you definitely don't. I have 7 INT with my current character and used Hypercerbrix to boost it to 9. Got Philosophy III but I can't exhaust all of Ferryman's dialogue.

Attached: philoIII.png (1680x2100, 1.45M)

Does anyone know if killing the native boats that are on the water when the camp gets attacked does anything? Is it just fluff or does it actually reduce the amount of waves you have to kill or something?

Didn't seem to make any difference when I tried it.

It's normal to pick either lockpicking or hacking but not both right? Just finished junkyard depot with my stealth crossbow lockpicking build. it was fun but the amount of electronically locked doors and chests was pissing me off. I think about rerolling every 5 minutes.

>but I can't exhaust all of Ferryman's dialogue.
Yeah, he says "the centre" is too complex for me with 14 INT

I don't think it matters for the beach defense, but you can lose some Aegis jet ski troops to them if they get into a fight.

so I'm trying to plan my first character in advance since everything is final and theres no return would love some advice.

dex: 10
agi: 9
will: 5 (Ripper feat req)

throwing: 15
melee: 15
stealth: 15
hacking: 15
lockpick: 15
mechanics: 15
electronics: 15
biology: 15 (for poisons)

I know for the most part that you don't have enough points per level to keep maxing all of these so I'm unsure of priority or when I should stop leveling them

also wondering if I should drop one of the crafts for tailoring? or pick it up later

>Enemy summons a doppelganger
>Instantly lose fight
Yeah, real balanced there.

That's why you use locus of control and summon 10 dopplegangers

Just remember that lockpicking and hacking reward very little loot. Mercantile and pick pocketing are much better for money

>Yeah, he says "the centre" is too complex for me with 14 INT
Go back to previous topics and pick different choices, even the non-INT ones since they also unlock new sub-topics to talk about. I had the same issue with my 10 INT character but found out that I had missed literally one dialogue option that unlocked new dialogue. 10 INT is definitely enough to get him to talk about the Center, you just need to be doubly sure you've exhausted all possible dialogue first.

I'd rather point out how the doppels do not disappear if you kill the caster but they do if you kill the target you(or they) used to summon them.
Kind of a bullshit move since Doppelganger will be far more powerful on the enemy side than yours, I barely ever use it.

Thanks, I'll keep badgering him then. Got the Philosophy III anyway, is it just for more lore at this point?

Redpill me on this game bros. This thread makes the game seem pretty kino and I'm looking for a new game

Considering you're investing 2-3 levels worth of skill points I don't think it's a good trade

Yeah, not 100% sure but I don't think there's any other tangible rewards after Philosophy III.

lol, anarch fuck

what levels should I be getting the crafts up in points?

>dex for energy weapons
>not max int plasma crit memes

Based, stay free brother, and FUCK the cans.

Anarchy is a meme ideology

Based Vera blowing anarchs the fuck out

Why are you playing Underrail then?

To enforce order in my new world.

>he plays underrail for the anarchy
kek, cuck

To murder gangs who think everything is allowed.

It's okay. You fucking suck against high armour enemies so you need to find a way to reliably crit so your shock bolts can kill them with just electric damage. Either deadly snares or ambush work, but you need at least one of those.
The expansion has a belt that makes them way better so that's nice.

Get fucked. Do you think I aided the Black Eels and joined the Protectorate to let some whore integrate my station on the worst fucking terms? SGS should be the Haxagon of the South, not just another vassal station.

tailoring from the getgo, that's 7 total skills at first
with your last few points, put them wherever you need them for crafting traps/bolts/whatever
eventually you'll stop leveling most of your other skills and can start power leveling crafting in the midgame

That's what Vera does. It just doesn't go into detail like your council ending because she didn't do shit besides that.

>tailoring from the getgo
Is it that good? I'm 60 hours in and just equip whatever I find

Currently been using the galvanic anti-rifle overcoat for ages

is going 15-30 into pickpocketing then ignoring it for the rest of the game viable?
I liked having that extra cash in the early game from stealing literally everyones ammo

>Do you think I aided the Black Eels and joined the Protectorate to let some whore integrate my station on the worst fucking terms?
That's what you get for siding with the cans.

>is going 15-30 into pickpocketing then ignoring it for the rest of the game viable?
No, you need at least 50-60 effective pickpocketing to make it functional, and even there you won't pickpocket anyone in the black sea for instance.

There is no proof, it's the same line no matter who you have aided. And so, Vera deserves the bullet. Six too, for making me leave. And Tanner. Fuck, I have a long kill list.

I was on the verge of rerolling around level 12 (using AR/sniper). I know my build is shit and all over the place.

But after getting commando and a muzzle brake/ rapid reloaded Hornet, holy fuck bodies are dropping

>worst fucking terms
That's not what happens if SGS helps the eels

Have a little faith. Vera isn't an idiot, despite her desire to blow every tin can north of SGS.

I have several questions in terms of melee
I sledgehammer still good
how are spears compared to it (I hear you need throwing with it but I wouldn't take sledge without throwing in the first place)
which one is easier to setup and get into

before finishing depot A, you can pretty much find or buy stuff thats better than what you can craft, except for stuff that is crafting-only
you could pick another skill instead; maybe mechanics so you can craft cyclons

He evidently asked the cans to help out instead of Tanner.

Well post a not lvl 1 build so we can give opinions

so i may be going about expedition in not the most optimal way.
i gave the mutie guard a medicine time and instead of talking to the guy he said to talk to i stated sneaking around and found a crane leading to a lower area which is where i was supposed to go for the sec troopers. there not letting me back in after that.
then i traveled to the pirate area, sneaked into an out post, and knifed the pirates there. now they're all hostile to me. i could load a save, but its too far back and i don't want to do all that i did all over again. probably missing some things but i'm hoping its not that important.

Anyone have a nice UnderRail wallpaper? /wg/ sucks, they post Assassin's Creed wallpaper unironically.

It does if you leave. Apparently without you there to hold their hands SGS forgets how to negotiate. It's infuriating.

What the FUCK are you doing

>Why don't people like me when I fucked them over?

well am I on the right track with this?

Attached: 20190901142314_1.jpg (1920x1080, 447K)

Yeah
You dont that much crafting so early imo though, just enough for molotovs and repair kits

This has to be one of the most annoying quests I've done. It wasn't so much that it was hard, its that it took for fucking ever because every time I passed my turn it took like 2 minutes for people who I can't even see to just walk around.

Where can i buy high quality alumized cloth or kevlar?

<

cuz psi has to be OP

Attached: good luck finding better version.png (608x413, 666K)

Increase combat animation speeds

I have

you can get 100-110 from marty, ferryman often has some too
derica probably has good alumized cloth, and I know oskar often has kevlar
but im sure the best is locked behind mercantile, probably constantine but I dont know

Hanna sells good kevlar. I don't know where to find good aluminized though.

Is there any benefit to your own house other than having a storage location with a rift inside?

Why buy all the turrets, because it's cool?

a few mistakes i believe.

im not complaining about the consequences of my actions. i feel like im not doing the best things at the sake of my curiosity

im thinking of starting a sniper character but i also want to see where the shit mess im making goes. probably with death of many priates and muties or my own.

you can buy work benches that increase your crafting skills

The workbenches give you a bonus to crafting skills. Everything else is just cosmetic.

>you can buy work benches that increase your crafting skills
Fuckin' A, that sounds good

I think that's the dude who just uses traps and grenades, and that's about it.

Yeah, rift and workbenches are the only things. I don't understand why furniture has to be so abhorrently expensive when it's merely visual and you more likely want to spend your hard-earned money on super steel or literally anything else.

I wish we got stuff like mini-hydroponics, maybe a cooking stove or some other QoL features with the house. Or that pimping your house out got you some other benefits or neat little flavor things, I don't know, maybe being able to invite NPCs there or something. I want Dude to crash at my place.

>tfw want chemistry so I cool nades
can I get away with just getting it to 30 or 50 for basic nades?

Just get Electronics so you can get plasma nades III.

oh I didn't know that was a thing, nice
I'm basically leveling every craft besides chemistry

>tfw can't invite Vera to your hardcore-comfy house and throw an anti-anarchism party
Styg, please.

Styg is a free brother.

is disassemble a meme?

yeah

Go with either 20/40/69/112 chemistry. 20 gets you gas grenades which are great. 40 gets you magnesium grenades which are a big upgrade over normal molotovs. 69 means you can mass produce mk4 grenades instead of needing to buy them, and also make napalm grenades (you can stop at 60 for napalm if you really want, but if you go that far you may as well go to 69 for mk4s). 112 lets you make mk5 grenades, but that's a lot of chemistry for not a huge upgrade over mk4.
Taking chemistry just to make low level frag grenades is a waste. You can buy them with money. Much better to spend money than skill points. Money is infinite, skill points aren't.

Regular grenades have several tiers so you're encouraged to get it pretty high. If you want it for incendiaries then 60 is the breaking point for napalm, and the always useful flashbang requires mere 40. Best regular grenades require 112, though for the second best tier you need only 69.

Like the other guy said plasma MkIII is fantastic if you're willing to pump electronics to 135, however as far as I know lower number of merchants stock the required materials whereas both TNT and Hexogen are really easy to get.

Yep

>tfw can't invite Vera to your hardcore-comfy house and have your turrets shoot her
For shame.

There is no anarchist waifu. Checkmate, Free Drooler.

It's a great combo with Gun Nut or the various crafting bonus feats if you play as a no shop scavenger since it basically guarantees any weapon drop you get can be reassembled to be better that what it originally was, granted that you can disassemble it of course.

without mercantile/persuasion am I still able to get quality crafting materials then? I was thinking disassemble since I'm not investing in merchant skills

>tfw no educated north underrail gf

this chip reader/writer thing is all i needed from nexus of technology right
i never want to go back there
also loling at the agilitylets

I FUCKING HATE CARRYWEIGHT LIMITS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The only waifu in the game is Yahota and the rest are generics.
Meanwhile nobody likes cans in the game, not even the Oculites, Tanner wants to be independent, Aegis are a bunch of cucks and even Philosophy III's icon is fucking Bakunin.
I mean, come on bre, even your house has a free drone graffiti by default, do Melek's boots really taste that good?

Attached: 1550687708726.jpg (158x219, 13K)

>you will never watch Yahota getting fucked by Briggs while he savagely chokes you
Why live bres...

Introducing the new hardest difficulty: APEX HARDCORE

-can only be unlocked after beating the game on DOMINATING
-items sold are worth 10% their regular price
-carrying capacity reduced by 50%
-grenade cooldowns are increased by 1 turn
-high efficieny energy converters nerfed to regenerating x% of energy lost to damage, at y% per round
-toxic gas simply deals bio damage each round/if moved through; no damage multiplication
-using psi abilities from 1 school will increase the action point cost of psi abilities from other schools
-forcefield functions as an energy shield against ranged attacks and has a certain amount of hp against melee attacks before failing (dependent on skill)
-all npc's have 30% greater detection & trap detection (bosses have 50% greater)
-bear traps dont function if they deal no damage, stronger enemies have shorter durations, and spotted traps use your traps skill vs their dodge
-some enemies (typically knife-users) will have black dragon throwing knives/crossbow bolts, and such traps can also be found
-trap location and type is somewhat random
-enemy placement is somewhat random
-npc's that spot traps or corpses will turn orange and search the map
-if spotted, all hostile npc's on that map will never turn back to green; yellow minimum
-npc's will not enter dangerous terrain (such as gas, fire, or traps) unless they have a clear path to you
-most hostile npc's, if they can't attack you on their current turn, will instead head for cover or distance
-if you are seen entering stealth in a controlled or partially controlled map, npc's will turn hostile
-each of the five tribal invasions will be lead by a boss tribal; old ice guy first, then eldran, then bone guy, then oyensorm, then magnar

Fuck. Off.

>brooding sniper autist
>waifu
No, thanks.

>not even the Oculites
Why would they like anyone?

>Tanner wants to be independent
He has nothing against the cans themselves, if whatever deal you work out is beneficial to SGS.

>even your house has a free drone graffiti by default
The figurative stain on society has left a literal stain on your wall. It's only fitting - just like cleaning it up. You DO keep your house clean, yes?

>spoiler
That's nice, but it should be only the last four, take Oyensorm out. He is needed elsewhere and his sneks would never reach the Aegis troops. Putting him on the field would be a complete waste of his talents.

Attain muscles

The T'Chort Institute keeps talking about which "wing" I want to join. Do I have to decide? Or can I just do all the quests?

You can do them all.

Does the fact that they take your blood matter?

Yes to both.

>Why would they like anyone?
Azif literally tells you that they're steering manking on the right path, and said steering started with you putting a bug in a Protectorate base AND freeing a Free Drone prisoner.
Now do the math and see how much they like tin cans.
>He has nothing against the cans themselves
That has nothing to do with the cans, it's just Tanner wanting to not be a big gubmint sucker, which is what cans want, and why they sent Vera in there as a sleeper agent.
>You DO keep your house clean, yes?
Yeah, tin cans belong in the green garbage bin.

Okay, cool. Does the order matter? Or can I just start with Mr. Samuel?

quickpockets sounds insanely useful for throwing/trapper build but i wanna make sure before i waste my feat

Why throwing? Do you need more than 30 'nades per battle?

Any order, it doesn't matter, science is easier though. But they are cool quests, so it's worth doing all of them.

Is there a use for the Deep Caverns elevator on the world map near SGS/Hathor?

end of the game stuff

Can't you guess?

I'm using poison throwing knives too, im not really sure if its worth, also dont see anything else too useful/good unless expertise/opportunist are good as well at level 2

But can it actually be turned on? I used the one in the Tchort base first

it's offline until you kill the final boss

You use it to get out of DC at the end of the game. The third elevator is at Hanging Rat bar near Rail Crossing but I don't think you can ever activate it.

if you mean him/her summoning the sea wyrms in the temple; they could just come up on their own when you get close to the rock

It's what you use to leave. The one in the Institute broke, remember?

YOU ARE NOT FATHER!

Calm down Yahota...

why can I not save feats? Do I just need to refuse to level in order to do so

Basically yes

fucking retarded

*Shrugs*

you have to meet the requirements for the feat at the level you take it, and you dont level up multiple levels at once; you level one level, then the next, then the next, etc

They could, but what would be the point if they are alone? Summoning them is Oyensorm's gimmick, it's not nice to make a man's bossfight both easier and less memorable in a single move. Your turrets would probably get him in a few shots, and there's no room on the coast for the sneks with all those warships around. It would be best if he just stayed in his cave.

damnit, theres nothing I really want at level 2, unless theres a way to reliably slow for opportunist

>damnit, theres nothing I really want at level 2,
What's your build bre

melee(knives)/stealth/throwing

Yep 6 was a true bro

What are your stats/pont allocation?

Suppressive fire slows, so if you're using SMGs/ARs/auto shotguns that's good.
Paranoia is always useful. Nimble is useful unless you're full tungsten.

is my hard drive dying? why does it take so long to transition between areas

foist of all
he has dominating boss hp
2nd of all, he has like 27 mirror images and can cast implosion which would fucking wreck a turret

nets/taser

10dex 9 agi 5 will 7 int

Sometimes my pc performance tanks too, in areas with way too much enemies, a lot of jet skiers, hives with clouds and the cave hopper graveyard

>27 mirror image
true sight, nvm

Oculus's schemes are far more complex and multi-layered than "we don't like X, therefore we support Y." They have their goal, everything else is secondary.

>sent Vera in there as a sleeper agent
Your paranoia is getting the better of you, bre. Is this the part where you start tying people to rail tracks at random?

>2nd of all, he has like 27 mirror images
And turrets have true sight. Come on, man.

is that actually a pc performance issue
i haven't actually checked but i just assumed it was the game being shit

Expertise/Nimble/Paranoia/Hit and Run/Sprint/Interloper/Power Management should all be useful for you.

>Your paranoia is getting the better of you
Check Oculus' archives.

As far as I remember, it just says Vera was sent packing for unclear reasons. If there was a story to tell here, I think the Oculus would know it, no?

just get trigger happy or pack rathound if you have nothing else to take they are both good

Except a ton of weapons and armor to sell or make repair kits with

>first story quest
>find dude with rats and crossbow
>tell him ill fuck off
>turn on the power before i leave
>attacks me
imagine getting mad about getting power in your home

It's not like there's ever a shortage of that though

>I think the Oculus would know it, no?
Nah, they are either legit retarded or the database is an elaborate troll attempt.

That feeling when lifting belt, infused pig leather boots, Rathound regalia, power fist

so just exactly what am i missing going full murderhobbo on these priates

Do fireplaces have any uses?

I love how, as you get closer to Junkyard on the jet-ski the water is more polluted.

It's the little things.

But they hang out in an alien superstructure. They can't be THAT useless.

>If there was a story to tell here, I think the Oculus would know it
Given how they somehow can't track some old geezer in an attic, I doubt about it.

>get within two screens from Core City
>the water becomes a living nightmare
